@cullenoncurling The non slam events in Canada (and in particular Ontario events) are all stacked with Slam teams. In last years Henderson metals, Oakville and Shorty, the only “u25” team to make playoffs once was Mooibroek. Other sports aren’t age based but points based. Maybe thats what we need

@cullenoncurling Other sports have development paths. AHL, OHL over agers, D league, minor league baseball, even football has players staying in NCAA until they are mid 20s. Curling might be the only sport that when you’re 21 you’re playing against top level pros or you’re effectively out.

@cullenoncurling The jump from junior to senior curling in Canada is brutal. Young teams spend years paying $10K+ in entry fees and travel just to lose regularly to established teams. Without a U25 circuit where they can compete, many simply walk away. That gap is hurting our development pipeline
