“The story for PrEP with these women isn’t that it can’t be done. It wasn’t that they don’t want to do it. It’s that they need some support.” -@alexismroth Kudos to @aubreyjwhelan for this powerful article that illuminates this ongoing work https://t.co/S0J1CIIvFA

So excited about this coverage by @Filtermag_org on Project SHE- a PrEP demonstration study for women @preventionpp. Integrating care into needed and trusted harm reduction services was essential to this successful pilot.
Women who inject drugs are more likely to share syringes than men, leading to greater risk of HIV exposure. This is partly because women often have to negotiate prevention methods, like condoms and new syringes, with male partners.

@RS_McNeil We still use their schedule at 16 months. It’s a life saver. I’m also happy to talk through it if that’s of use. I’m still not remembering as much as I used to but it’s better as is my word retrieval which got real bad for a little while. It was wild.
@RS_McNeil Graduated extinction helped us. Awful at first but so glad we committed. Mostly, he sleeps through the night and when he wakes up howling he can put himself down. Favorite resource is respectful sleep training on FB. Super helpful schedules!

Exciting news for advocates to #XtheX Waiver today to loosen restrictions for buprenorphine access.
However, still a lot of unanswered questions and still doesn't go far enough.

@RS_McNeil I out fruit in everything since A has gotten picky. Just made strawberries, zucchini, spinach. Pear, kale, broccoli. Butternut squash, carrots, apple and cinnnamon all win round here.
