Greg Abbott just spent $4.5 million on four Chevy Tahoes loaded with surveillance technology from Israeli company Cognyte.

The four vehicles cost $600,000 total. The remaining $3.9 million went toward the surveillance technology and related equipment.

The system can mimic a cell tower, causing nearby phones, including those of people who aren’t suspects, to connect so authorities can identify and track them.

Texas taxpayers just funded $4.5 million in Israeli-made mobile surveillance units to spy on Texans every move.

Trump reported a staggering 1,051 trades in his June financial disclosure. Here are two of the more curious ones:

— June 18: Bought $250K–$500K in Boeing, the same day the Navy awarded Boeing an $880 million contract for P-8A training systems.

— June 23: Bought $15K–$50K in SpaceX, the same day NASA recorded a $425.6 million award to SpaceX.

These men and women fought, were wounded, bled, and died in a war against a man, a racist, a bigot, a dictator, a murderer:

🚨BREAKING: An ICE/Border Patrol agent approached a U.S. citizen at a gas station, in Lake Worth, Florida, demanded his ID, and when the U.S. citizen asked why? …

The agent’s said, “Because you’re an immigrant.”

Except that is not how the Constitution works.

In the video, the U.S. citizen is standing at a gas station when an agent walks up and says, “Let me see your ID.”

The man asks a completely reasonable question, “Why?”

The agent responds, “Because you’re an immigrant.”

And before the man has even been identified, the agents grab his hands and puts him in handcuffs.

People standing around immediately start questioning what is happening…asking the agents how they can arrest someone when they haven’t even identified who he is…

But the agents ignore them and walk the man to their vehicle.

The Fourth Amendment protects people from unreasonable searches and seizures. The Supreme Court has held that roving Border Patrol agents need reasonable suspicion, based on specific circumstances, to stop someone and question them about immigration status. And apparent ethnicity, by itself, is not enough.

So, what was the actual legal basis for demanding this man show his ID?

Because if the answer is literally… “because you’re an immigrant,” that should piss off every American.

You should not have to prove you’re a U.S. citizen before the government decides it has the right to put you in handcuffs.

And this is just another reminder that constitutional rights don’t mean anything if federal agents can violate them, over and over again, with no accountability.

Everything happening under this @realDonaldTrump regime is the beginning of the end for the United States as we once knew it to be.

Never before in American history have we witnessed, much less tolerated, the kind of corruption, lawlessness, and venality that is being committed in broad daylight by this Trump regime.

Our Constitution is being blatantly ignored.
Our federal laws are being blatantly ignored.
And our Supreme Court is openly supporting it.

This 250 year old experiment of being a better country, a better nation, a better people, and a better democratic republic is about to come to an end thanks to an equally corrupt, lawless, and venal @GOP @Republicans political party whom has chosen loyalty, fealty, and subservience to a man rather than to this nation, its laws, and its people.

Lies are now accepted over truth.
Falsehoods are now accepted over verities.
Propaganda is now accepted over objectivity.
Conspiracy theories are now accepted over facts.

THIS is the United States @realDonaldTrump and the @GOP @Republicans have now created. And it was created to destroy 250 years of what our founding fathers first envisioned — a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

WE THE PEOPLE need to come together to reclaim and continue THAT vision our founding fathers began. This November midterm elections are vital to the survival and the preservation of that vision.

Don't only vote bcos your lives depend on it, vote bcos our nations life depends on it.

Every market has a fellow who is certain the prices are wrong and that he alone knows the right ones. Usually the market charges him tuition for this belief. Occasionally, it hands him the Treasury.

Consider the record. In 2000, Scott Bessent left Soros to run $1 billion of his own. Five years later, the fund no longer existed. In 2015 he tried again with Key Square, co-founded with Soros alum Michael Germino and seeded with $2 billion of Soros money — which is a bit like failing your driving test and being handed a Ferrari. Assets peaked at $5.1 billion in 2017 and finished 2023 at $577 million. Institutional investors reportedly went from 180 to 20, a retention rate that would embarrass a gym in February. And in 2018, Soros — the man who staked him — took his chips off the table. When your own anchor investor would rather not watch, that is not typically a buy signal.

Which brings us to the question: is the man now confidently dictating where oil, the dollar, Treasury yields, and stocks ought to trade a macro mastermind the market tragically failed to appreciate? Or did the market spend two decades doing its due diligence on him — and sell? He believes he’s smarter than the market. The market already graded that exam. Twice.
