The Gospel was shared with me, at least in part, 17 times before I believed it.
1. Don't give up sharing the Gospel with people who don't want to hear it.
2. Don't give up praying for people you think would never believe.
3. Hope in a patient God who loves to save rebels.
Some people claim this baby boy is “just a clump of cells.”
One year later, he can freely move his body, radiate joy, and make eye contact.
He was never “just a clump of cells.” He was always a tiny, developing human being—valuable and worthy of life.
@lukedsimmons My pastor and our church are advocating on behalf of pastors petitioning their boards to consider a policy for their pastor before they lose their pastor here in South Florida.
Here is the book he wrote on it: https://t.co/i7haL4Emy8
my most prized earthly possession is a 1934 Thompson Chain Reference Bible that belonged to my grandfather, Elmer Johnson. “A Bible that’s falling apart,” said Charles Spurgeon, “probably belongs to someone who isn’t.” Join us for a new series, IT IS WRITTEN @NCC
My favorite lesson from Voddie Baucham was his answer to the question, "Why do you believe the Bible?"
❌ NOT "I was raised that way"
❌ NOT "I tried it and it worked for me"
His answer came from an exposition of 2 Peter 1:16-20, which he summarized this way:
✅ "I choose to believe the Bible because it is a reliable collection of historical documents written by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses. They report supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophecies and they claim that their writings are divine rather than human in origin."
Amen.
Saban is always dropping leadership gold on @CollegeGameDay. Have a notebook nearby to jot some of it down.
One this morning:
“You don’t practice until you get it right. You practice until you can’t get it wrong.”
@JoshuaBarzon Leads to a larger conversation. Prophecy was given to a specific people and a specific time. While the general principles of this verse are true for all, it’s important to realize we can’t simply grab prophetic verses and apply it to our lives. No one wants the judgement ones. 😂
Many people think Christianity is:
I do whatever I want and however I want. And, God just exists to help me accomplish my dreams and goals.
However, Biblical Christianity is:
Jesus saves me from my self. And, I exist to do whatever God calls me to for His Kingdom and glory.
