My timeline is filtered by an assistant and included in my daily news, but I do respond to @alexkeybl. I previously worked for Apple, Google, and Mozilla.
I'm excited and a bit nervous to share Ferrytale with X. It's an interactive fiction AI "interpreter" that lets you immerse yourself in over 650 text games using just your voice. I've been wanting to create this for years.
Say exactly what your character should do, talk directly to other characters, and even interrupt them with your questions. Visit the horror of Anchorhead, Massachusetts or solve a murder in Make it Good. You'll need a recent Mac for low latency play, a Gemini API key for the model and optionally an ElevenLabs key to automatically design distinct per-character voices.
Cost, quality and performance is balanced by using a smaller hosted model, hitting ElevenLabs only for voice design and performing speech recognition/text-to-speech (whisper.cpp/OmniVoice) locally. Point your favorite AI at the GitHub repo to have it install everything for you and walk you through configuration.
Demo videos below are from playing Superluminal Vagrant Twin and Make it Good using Ferrytale (🔊 sound on).

@steipete I appreciate what you and maintainers have created. But not having simple update paths will limit its future success. Imagine if Firefox required users to do absolutely anything special on update. It would have been a niche project instead of 30% of browser usage at its peak.
Makes sense, CEOs collect the context they need and then make predictions + decisions
If they hire well, they’re choosing between options presented to them by other executives and their direct reports
AI does a good job of selecting between choices and info presented by humans
@RoszykAdam I think if you’ve got a good idea, it’s probably a good idea on another platform or in another format. Few products need to be XR-only or XR-first. Whenever XR does hit, devs will bring their existing apps over quickly, and they’ll bring their refined experiences with them.
@dafeijing This is very cool. I’m sure you all have also considered having the robot move out of the path of a person, when it wouldn’t get in the way of another person. Also important to place a flag or pole to get the attention of people - it’s still a tripping hazard.
@Jeff_Browndyke @sara__pequeno The issue here is that some percent wouldn’t have voted unless there was a 3rd party candidate on the ballot (or would have done a write-in). Or would have flipped to Trump. The true number isn’t knowable through voting data.
@wc_ratcliff Let me know if you’re also interested in testing an app that improves the quality of your algorithm in a more direct way. https://t.co/ZmnVBA9Cyb
A peek into what I've been working on - tentatively called Sky Netbrowser. Works best with GPT 4 variants, though I've had some success with Claude 3 Opus. Sharing as a desktop app and open sourcing soon. I'm excited to see it evolve with feedback and contributions!
