@NateSilver538 It does seem to be a conflict of interest. I don’t want my reporters stopping to ask the question “will this get me banned?” when deciding whether to write a story.
@bunsenbernerbmd Ok, but does it not have an odor, or are we just too used to it to smell it? Like I can't smell my own house, but I can smell my friend's house.
@storiteller@TricksyRaccoon@sim_kern@chromesthesia There’s a fun hand washing project you can do with black light ink and a black light bulb. Nothing makes the hand washing lesson stick like actually seeing the “germs” that are still on your hands. Just google “hand washing black light”.
You can help us in this fight. We are raising travel funds for the bargaining committee and more through our GoFundMe. Please retweet, share, and donate if you can: https://t.co/ahhUexvZVh
In a Democracy, with government of the people, by the people, and for the people, I wonder whether the nation’s “leaders” should instead be thought of as our “followers”.
@HowtoADHD@Real_Theresa Sending a calendar appointment request instead of just an email:
1. I won't forget to add it to my calendar myself
2. If I missed the email, I'll realize it when I check my calendar
3. I can always click "RSVP" even if my brain isn't up to writing a response
@freelancer42 @divergentdawn Me on my first solo trip:
ADHD: Let's just wing it!
Autism: I guess we're spending the whole trip in this lousy hotel room now...
TW: Food, Intuitive Eating, Food Rules
Last night, I came across a TikTok about how intuitive eating isn't always a good fit for folks who struggle with interoception (such as autistic and/or ADHD folks), and that sometimes food rules are necessary.
they are making a new sidewalk. in our neighborhood. and today. all the workers waved me over. and i got to put my little paw. in the wet cement. they said it would be there forever. and many years from now. someone would wonder. who that good dog was
@chelloway @SNeurotypicals See, that was the problem. The fields were messed up. The fields for two Qs were the same, so when you filled in one, it auto-filled the other unrelated Q's field. Also, they were in a weird order, so if you use tab to move from Q to Q it would send you to other pages and back.
@LeapingPrincess@JortsTheCat@lynneSmcneill I think it would be more problematic if employers appropriated the term to encourage workers to do additional labor, such as joining the company's group attending a Pride parade, filling out suggestion forms, or other "advocacy" work that should simply be part of their paid work.
@LeapingPrincess@JortsTheCat@lynneSmcneill Although the slogan does imply the burden is on the oppressed, to be honest the burden was always on the oppressed, and encouraging each other to stand up is part of making things better.
