@decadimitry@wendolyn_aragon You will do far more good by staying on the jury and convincing others in the room to acquit or engage in jury nullification. It only takes one juror to create a hung jury/mistrial.
The person facing years in a cage won't give a shit if you stand on a soapbox for 30 seconds.
@mdbarba@BrookeJenkinsSF@sfstandard So she spent months campaigning for the recall and is still unable to commit to a single, concrete policy change? What an embarrassing interview for her.
@annatonger@chesaboudin The issue wasn't that you were fabricating data, but that you were misrepresenting it by omitting and burying critical context.

SF Standard’s recent piece on fentanyl in San Francisco uses outdated “War on Drugs” tactics to criminalize undocumented immigrants. In an environment ripe with hate crime and systemic violence against marginalized communities, this disinformation piece merits debunking. [1/5]
@WeberWest@sfstandard A cherry picked selection of facts without appropriate context is not journalism -- it's clickbait -- and it only takes us further from understanding the truth.
@WeberWest@sfstandard Thank you for clarifying that you are, in fact, a clown.

@Josh_Koehn@annatonger@chesaboudin@abc7newsbayarea Imagine being called out in great detail by experts in the criminal legal system and just doubling down on your misinfo.

@annatonger@chesaboudin You tackled an issue and dataset that are out of your depth. Your lack of understanding of the criminal legal system is glaring and I hope you take the critiques from @petercalloway and @FcoSFPubDef to heart and do better next time. This piece is harmful, anti-immigrant clickbait
@ArmandDoma They aren't less valid. But their concerns have been addressed! Now address the concerns of the tenants and orgs working on the ground that raised flags without portraying them as shills for landlords or parking lot protectors.
@ArmandDoma Black/brown people are not a monolith! Some groups supported and others had serious concerns. The socialist organizers I know were working with local tenants and at no point were their concerns about displacement addressed.
@ArmandDoma It's fine if you disagree that a particular project will cause displacement, but don't misrepresent what socialist organizers have fought for.
I don't care what some run of the mill dems do and Dean received a ton of flack from the left for that move in Japantown.
@ArmandDoma It's exhausting to see attempts by socialist organizers against gentrification and displacement of poor, often Black and brown tenants, be represented as "preserving a historic parking lot."
