Re-emerging on here to share: my team launched a thing! With some awesome partners! Shoutout to @GDSTeam, @CDS_GC, & TTS’s 10x team for laying the groundwork, and my amazing TTS Public Benefits Studio colleagues for making it happen! We’ll report back on how pilots go — wooo!
@USGSA is thrilled to announce @GSA_TTS' first group of partners to use https://t.co/CsqYAdnoNK: @NorfolkVA, @MontgomeryCoMD, & the states of #WI & #WA. The partners will use the text messaging service to help communicate benefit(s) info to the public.

LIVING WITH COVID, a 🧵
Since covid isn’t going away (thanks to a series of poor choices over the last 2 years), it’s time to brainstorm what a real exit strategy might look like because “living with covid means accepting more deaths” doesn’t work for me. We can do better.
@tchu88@MayorWu@CityOfBoston Damn, lady, congrats! What a boss move! Best of luck, sorry we never crossed WA paths in these strange COVID times — you’re gonna rock it! 🤩
Who’s researching/working on this? What does working on this even look like? I want in. This has increasingly been a thing I can’t stop thinking about over the last few years, and it’s *NOT* just about women. I know plenty of men who would kill for more flexibility.
Omg. 🔥 THREAD (ht @cydharrell) Seriously, WHEN are we going to realize that embracing more family-friendly work trajectories/schedules is good for HUMANITY, not to mention the goddamn economy?
Intensely frustrating read. A long soliloquy of (white) man’s angst about professional peak & decline, and not a whisper about gender? He uses the essay to urge 50-pluses to quit and Connect to Family. How do you suppose the family got there? 1/8

Decouple healthcare from employment & suddenly meaningful PT work is possible; periods of intense career focus & more family focus can *actually* align with the rhythms of individuals’ lives and minimize the (very real) cost of burnout and workforce dropout... the list goes on.
Going into the holiday weekend let’s honor the history - the intentionally less told history - of Memorial Day and how it was first organized by freed slaves in Charleston, SC.

It's rare an agency is willing to release an 18F assessment - major kudos to the Administrative Office of the Courts for taking an open stance!
This bodes well for the program. ☀️
Public services are a reflection of the time in which they were designed. The design reveals what, or who, society valued when that service was being created. What do we value today and how are we designing our services accordingly?
@laurenancona Ooh interesting, no not really, it’s more just a panicky, overwhelmed feeling, I just start to feel kind of frantic... sometimes I do feel like my legs kinda buckle though, so I often need to lie down when it’s bad
