The way people think SpaceX uses zip ties because they're SpaceX and that other companies would use something more complicated is quite hilarious. Everyone uses zip ties. If anything, you'd expect SpaceX to find a way to not use them with the whole "best part is no part" mantra.
.@NASA and @SpaceX now target no earlier than 1:05 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, Oct. 7, for Crew-12’s departure following a review of weather and splashdown conditions off the California coast. More... https://t.co/8VZNeFwMfd
Room with a view. Check out my new digs as I camp out in Dragon until our departure. With Crew-13’s arrival we have a very full house on the @Space_Station. Luke is living in my previous crew quarters, and I’ve pitched a tent in Dragon.
Big hardware for a big mission.
This week, the 130-foot-tall liquid hydrogen tank for Artemis IV made its way to the vertical assembly building at NASA Michoud. Up next, teams will attach roll rings to the hardware in preparation for primer application. The rings allow technicians to rotate the tank to gain access to various areas during the production process.
As part of the SLS (Space Launch System) core stage, the tank will hold thousands of gallons of super-cold propellant to fuel the rocket’s four RS-25 engines, helping generate more than 2 million pounds of thrust at launch.
Peeking into Mega Bay 2. Ship 43 (Flight 16) looking really nice! Will this vehicle potentially be the first to launch out of 39A in Florida? @NASASpaceflight
Teams complete three Falcon launches, four first stage landings at four landing zones in Florida and California, and docking Dragon to the @Space_Station for our 21st human spaceflight in under 13 hours
The renewal of OneWeb is underway 🛰️
The first 32 satellites in Eutelsat's OneWeb renewal programme have completed production with @AirbusSpace in Toulouse and are now preparing for an upcoming launch with @SpaceX, marking the beginning of the next chapter for our LEO network.
What an extraordinary week for SpaceX! We launched our quiver of space vehicles: Starship, Dragon, Falcon 9, and Falcon Heavy. We delivered operational next-gen V3 Starlink satellites to orbit for the first time, a plethora of customer payloads, and critical national security payloads that will defend our country. Most importantly, side by side with the incomparable @NASA, we safely flew Crew-13 to the International Space Station.
This week is a powerful reminder of what rocket reusability unlocks and what the SpaceX team can accomplish when we stay relentlessly focused and consistently execute at the highest level.
Congrats to the entire @SpaceX team and our customers for making the future something to be excited about every single day.
