*MARKET WATCH #KC: Arabica #coffee is currently up after opening down but quickly rose over 3c/lb to an inteaday high of $2.7910 confirming ONCE AGAIN that the #coffee market is WELL AWARE that all talks about a "big" or possible "bumper" crop from Brazil in 2026 continues to be TALK ONLY and it will be MONTHS before exports MAY start catching up to the extend where any rise over last year's disaster crop will become more evident - until then roasters and other commercials HAVE TO BUY NOW in order to secure their supplies ahead of the ALL IMPORTANT autumn-winter roasting season when about 60% of total annual consumption is used in the Nov-Feb season and the COFFEE IS NOT THERE with multiple and massive IRREVERSIBLE LOSSES to the new 2026-27 harvest across the world !!

Totally agree, the #coffee market WELL KNOWS that the ENTIRE WORLD #ROBUSTA CROP is DOWN with massive and IRREVERSIBLE losses PROVED, REGISTERED and CONFIRMED across Uganda, Vietnam, Indonesia, parts of India AND ALSO in Brazil, and the pro-bears protecting the interests of Big Coffee in London are STILL arguing that "improved certified stocks" of robusta coffee is "bearish" for #Robusta prices even though these same certified robusta stocks are only just over 5,000 container, i.e. equivalent to a max of 1.2M bags - a LAUGHABLE illusion that won't even be enough to fill 2 days worth of global daily coffee consumption !!

MARKET WATCH #KC: After days in red both #Arabica AND #Robusta #coffee are UP on Wed with active Dec Arabica up over 2c/lb at intraday high of $2.7435 and London Robusta up $24 at $3,280/Mt as market KNOWS there is ZERO margin for a correction going too much below $2.80 with global stocks at 15-year LOWS vs booming demand and MASSIVE and IRREVERSIBLE losses to the new 2026-27 world crop from Vietnam and Indonesia to Uganda, from Mexico, Central America and Colombia to India, Kenya and Peru, and COMPLETE FAILURE for trade to produce credible evidence of the much talked about the new 2026 "big" or "bumper" crop from Brazil, which WILL NOT HAPPEN even as exports are showing a SMALL RECOVERY after months of non-stop weather problems - the world IS running out of coffee !!

Asante Sana for connecting Enoth, and please PLEASE do share pictures and/or videos from your travels through the Ugandan country side, whenever you see coffee, ANY REGION, we are many here who greatly appreciate the input directly from the field !! And the EXTREME negative impact of the now over 6-month-long drought CANNOT be underestimated, #coffee farming in Uganda is the BASE LIVELIHOOD sustaining between 2M-3.5M families and without this income many WILL FACE extreme and deadly malnutrition !! #KA players MUST PAY UP or they are literally participating in a genocide-like action against the very growers they are profiting from !!

The issue on how credit and financing work in Vietnam for the #coffee growers and other #KC-market players is truly fascinating David and I cannot stress enough how much i and many other followers here appreciate you sharing this with us - and yes you are SPOT-ON again, the 2nd additional MASSIVE wave of TORRENTIAL damaging rains are ONLY going to make the growing conditions WORSE and with cherry droppings and massive EXCESS humidity on top of this, and as PLENTY of pictures and videos from HIGHER LYING growing regions already have confirmed, it's not only "low lying" and isolated areas that have been it but VAST PARTS of Vietnam's Central Highlands, including the two TOP-growing provinces of Gia Lai and Dak lak, with MIN and IRREVERSIBLE LOSSES of 30% to the new crop !!

First of all, #coffee prices ARE NOT HIGH - in 1978 consumers and traders paid $3.39/lb and yet since for most of the past 50 years coffee prices have been WAY BELOW the levels recorded 50 years ago as the
ONLY CONSUMER product with ZERO inflation adjusted price price, so anyone talking about "high" prices need to get their facts straight !!
Secondly.#KC consumers across the world have ZERO TROUBLE paying more for their #coffee and per cup servings either in the MULTI-BILLION #cafe business or retail roast and ground in supermarket is NOT the problem - NEVER has been - countless studies have confirmed that even IF/WHEN the #kc will return to $4 and move into the $5-$6 range, the JUSTIFIABLE increase - even at a raw material price of $10-$12/lb would NOT rise more than 60 cents per cup - the problem of "higher prices" is ENITERELY an issue caused by CORPORATE GREED where multinationals earn and add min $0.50-$1/lb for EVERY SINGLE part of the chain, which from buying the green coffee and farm-gate prices from the growers, through transport, milling, processing, drying, packing, port activities, container freight, imports, roasting, and sales to retail and/or cafe business at EACH AND EVERY STEP add HUGE PROFITS to satisfy their board of directors 7-DIGIT end-of-year bonusses. The SADDEST part of this is that NONE OF THIS profit would exist WITHOUT the world's 40 MILLION growing families which all along for the vast majority live in EXTREME POVERTY !!

What a DISGUSTING comment from the pro-bear #KC camp at @Barchart here, "Coffee falls to lowest price since June 📉📷Congrats everyone, we did it 📷 🥳," celebrating that 40 MILLION #coffee producers and their families for the vast majority continue to live in EXTREME POVERTY while they not only CELEBRATE but take RESPONSIBILITY and are PLEASED to say "we did it" - #coffee prices today are LOWER than prices 50 years ago and the growers behind the multi-BILLION #cafe industry remains the ONLY product which has seen NO INFLATION all along. *BREAKING #KC UGANDA DROUGHT: Massive damage to Uganda's new 2026-27 #coffee harvest is now ALSO CONFIRMED in the southern-most border region with Tanzania where #Robusta trees are "wilting" and leaving farmers without crops and income to sustain their families;
-"Early this week, driving towards Mutukula border town in Kyotera District, I witnessed something that stopped me in my tracks and I felt a real sense of helplessness and worry!," write Enoth Mbeine in a heart breaking comment on LinkedIn, adding;
-"Coffee gardens are wilting under the weight of a prolonged drought. As a coffee tree struggles for survival, so does the household that depends on its harvest."

*BREAKING #KC: INDONESIA #COFFEE DROUGHT continues to expand across Southern Sumatra, the country's TOP-producing region home to min 70-80% of the total annual output, with losses to the new 2026-27 #robusta rising and farmers PRAYING FOR RAIN to save what is left of the crop after unseasonal HEAVY RAINS already caused massive damage to the first wave of flowering, washing away the pollen and throwing flowers to the ground before any fruit set could happen. Now growers in both Lampung and Bengkulu regions are reporting PINKING which is hugely significant as this is when flowers turn pink and dies, beyond recovery.
-Even if we are "in a near-death experience" let's remain patient and pray for rain, grower in Lampung,
-The rains will "hopefully come as soon as possible," another grower in Bengkulu,
-"There are no signs of rain yet. Feeling Sad," says a #robusta grower in Lampung.

The world of #coffee is entering another desperate year of weather disasters and there is no rescue from anywhere in the world !!

Lol, of course #KC traders are sending pictures and/or videos trying to back up their ILLUSIVE ideas of a big beautiful flowering, but first of all, this particular flowering is very average and not big or concentrated at all, and secondly, how convenient that this trader sent this video to @tx_marcelo and the @Reuters' commodity team EXCATLY as widespread #arabica #coffee regions across Minas Gerais are being hit with widespread HAIL STORMS that further DAMAGE the new flowering, which already lost at least 10% crop potential as a DIRECT cause of the early flowering that occurred - and was widely reported - during the PEAK of the physical harvest, resulting in flowers being thrown of trees and these flowers will NOT come back !! The only thing one CAN agree with is that we ALL KNOW there is SUPER EL NINO underway and intensifying across #cafe growing regions WORLD WIDE and there is a LONG LONG WAY until the Brazil flowering period is through fruit setting, and then bean formation and large % numbers of growers already reported they had increased skeleton and other type of pruning to as much as 50-70% instead of the normal 10-15% because of plant stress !! At this point the 2027 crop in Brazil is set to become the 7th SMALL crop in a row and there is NO RESCUE coming from any other coffee producing country in the world, all as global stocks continue to DWINDLE but vs BOOMING world demand !!
