Bihar Minister and BJP MLA from Jamui Shreyasi Singh implied that what happened in Jamui was a form of moral policing, but argued that the way it was done was absolutely wrong and should have been carried out in a "more decent and elegant fashion."

What a messed-up thing to say! Firstly, moral policing is not acceptable, no matter how "elegant" it sounds. Secondly, what happened in Jamui was not moral policing, it was molestation and attempted rape. Anyone bringing "moral policing" into this debate is only diluting the crime.

Shreyasi Singh must lose her chair for this gross insensitive statement.

Nike signed Messi when he was 14. They lost him over a few hundred dollars worth of tracksuits, a mistake now estimated at $10 billion in brand value.

In 2005, Messi's father Jorge asked Nike for some extra tracksuits for his son, a routine request from the family of an 18-year-old who had just broken into Barcelona's first team. Nike's Iberian and South American offices both ignored it. He never got a reply.

Adidas was paying attention. They offered around $1 million a year, and Nike refused to match because they didn't want a bidding war over a teenager. They were busy building their 2006 World Cup campaign around established stars.

Once the Adidas deal leaked, Nike panicked and sued in Spanish court, claiming a binding contract. The judges found all Nike had was a "commitment letter" with no legal weight. Messi signed with Adidas in February 2006, and in 2017 they gave him a lifetime deal.

So when he walks out at El Monumental on October 6 for his final Argentina match, in front of 84,000 people, the gold-lettered farewell jersey he revealed today will carry three stripes.

Twenty years, 125 international goals, a World Cup, and every shirt sold along the way. All of it went to Adidas because someone at Nike didn't answer an email about tracksuits.

Delhi | A PCR call vide DD No. 93 at 08:45 PM regarding an alleged rape near Kalkaji Mandir, ISKCON Temple, was received. The victim, aged 17 years, reported that she came along with her friend, aged 17 years, to Delhi at the Kalkaji Temple. At 7 PM, after darshan in the Kalkaji Mandir, both went inside Astha Kunj Park. At about 7:30 PM, three persons aged about 25–30 years came, told them that they were from the police, and threatened them. She further stated that one of them held her friend, and thereafter all three had committed rape on her: Delhi Police

#ONGC strikes gas in the deep waters of Mahanadi Basin.

MDW-28, the maiden well of ONGC’s current deepwater campaign in the Mahanadi Basin is flowing gas with encouraging rates and sustained reservoir pressure.

The campaign was launched on 25 July 2026 by Hon'ble Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas Shri @HardeepSPuri, with the spudding of MDW-28 (MN-DW18-1-H-D) in the deep offshore Mahanadi Basin, aligned with the Government's Samudra Manthan initiative.

The well was perforated on 18 September 2026 following evaluation of subsurface data. It is currently flowing with a good gas rate and healthy reservoir pressure. During operations, ONGC @ChairmanONGC @singharunongc, Director (Technology & Field Services) @vikramsONGC, and Director (Exploration) @opsinhaONGC visited the drillship to interact with and encourage the crew onboard. This find, along with other discoveries in the area, can be a candidate for development through shared facilities enabled by the PNG Rules, 2025, bringing deepwater resources onstream.

ONGC will continue to push into deep and ultra-deepwater frontiers in the search for hydrocarbons, and towards India's goal of energy security.

Hopefully, a new chapter in India's energy frontier.
