When the police fears no one, simply know that they are backed and supported by the Govt.

She is Priyanshi, A journalist and reporter.

On October 2, amid reports of protests taking place at several places across Delhi, She went to Jantar Mantar to report on what was happening there. Before she could even begin reporting, the police stopped her. When she tried to continue her reporting, a woman police officer approached her and told her that she could not report from there.

She asked her, “On whose instructions?” But received no clear answer. Then she continued trying to document what was happening at Jantar Mantar, but the police intervention made it difficult for her to do her job.

I believe people have the right to know what is happening at a public protest and reporters should be able to document events without unnecessary interference.

So the question remains: Why was she stopped from reporting at Jantar Mantar?
