@nicholadrummond The challenge is with range and endurance. They can be used as interceptors though, in short ranges. A French company demonstrated this with Fury 120 V, flies at 700 km/h and can pull 20 G manoeuvres :

@SpiralSquirrel@tomas_salvo22 Aerodynamics and mission profile constraints the geometry. Same reason why all rockets look the same and Space shuttle and Buran are so similar. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery as they say. Imitation takes some skills
@Robo_Tuo@TheHumanoidHub Are there international companies building rockets in China? Or non-Chinese nationals working in/ owning Chinese aerospace companies?
@PangWm852@XH_Lee23 It’s in Wenchang. You can book hotels close to the launch site. And watch it from the beaches/launch viewpoints. This was from a viewpoint deck last month. They have 2 launch pads, one governmental, one commercial, pick viewing location based on the launch pad that is used
@FrankBoerman@cornu__copia EU should have a common working language, esp in tech and business. Majority of young folks, speak English. It’s also a language of tech and business worldwide. Tech and business accelerates in collaboration, not in isolation/fragmentation
@FrankBoerman@cornu__copia Even within EU if people have to learn the local lingo, to contribute to tech, it sets the EU back in tech, as we visibly see today. EU countries are small, it’s natural to see talent move around. Very inconvenient to learn a new language just cause you moved 5hrs away for work
@TNYBN123 Not all (non-)EU knowledge migrants do. When was the last time you did STEM in Dutch or used a fully Dutch made tech good? Your argument is analogous to: learn Chinese and then use an iPhone, cause iPhones are made in China
@LRH_Superfan Great to see how their industry is thriving 🤣 locals are doing great work! Esp amazing work with the automotive industry and public transportation. Keep it up 💪
@FrankBoerman@cornu__copia Not all expats who move to the NL are treated the same way. Esp non-EU expats are treated harshly. If you are stuck in a high tech corner, you spend vast majority of your time building skillsets to practice your art. If you suck at your skillsets, you for sure get kicked out fast
@FrankBoerman@cornu__copia Frankly Dutch language works in a very tiny part of the world. And is in no way the language of STEM. Knowing the Dutch lingo doesn’t magically solve your tech problems. It has other values ofc, like integrating in the society etc
@cornu__copia I wait to see the day, when these folks will code in their own language instead of English. Language of STEM is English, Chinese or may be French/Japanese. Who is gonna tell these managers and business developers that the local language doesn’t solve STEM problems 🤣
@WhitePapersPol How much money have the immigrants made for the NL, in exchange? Who’s gonna run the economy if you send away all the immigrants?
Studies like this, that conclude without secondary effects on society, shouldn’t be funded. That’ll save the country some money
