@LawAbydinCitzyn@PolitlcsUK They are vast and systemic but - workplace pay and promotions, online and street abuse, home and care roles, victims of abuse, assault, sexual assault, institutional/structural sexism etc etc.
Do you think women and men experience domestic abuse equally?
@LawAbydinCitzyn@PolitlcsUK Do you think it's indoctrinated to be aware that women experience abuse, sexism and gender inequality on a daily basis or do you prefer to maintain that fact?
@LawAbydinCitzyn@PolitlcsUK It's from a book called "Down Girl, The Logic of Misogyny" by Kate Manne (Penguin 2018). Chapter 3 - Discriminating Sexism. Give it read and you will definitely be educated about sexism and gender inequality. Hope this helps.
If only someone in the media would expose Farage's incitement yesterday via performative utterance in the same way that Jonathan Miller humiliated Enoch Powell and his grubby little racism.
Even with simple explanation and visual aids, many people in this country will still hold on to the falsehood that asylum seekers are the problem with our country
@DrProudman Many men state “respect” for women but it's more like conditional compliance. It’s there when women are comforming and agreeable but the same women are judged when they’re assertive or independent. The contradiction is the point - it’s not respect, it’s approving conformity.
@beesley_cathy This guy is always posting racist misinformation and speaks at far-right rallies. He’s been charged after he bombarded a female Muslim councillor with racist abuse online.
He's an independent standing for the Scottish parliament and says he’ll represent everyone - Jesus wept.
@CraigHouston_@BeanoCheesy@DeathlyAcorn@KevinTheRanter You present yourself as different from typical Holyrood MSPs. I’m concerned about your understanding of the role and responsibilities in the Scottish Parliament, and I don’t believe some of your associations are appropriate for someone seeking public office.
@CraigHouston_@BeanoCheesy@DeathlyAcorn@KevinTheRanter I saw your reply—sarcasm isn’t appropriate when answering constituents. Under the Equality Act 2010, MSPs must represent all constituents equally and without discrimination. Will you confirm you will do this explicitly for LGBTQ+ people and religious minorities—yes or no?
(2/2) At Right to Equality, we know that every crack in the wall of secrecy has been forced open by women willing to sacrifice their privacy to expose systemic failure.

(1/2) Transparency is never freely given—it is fought for by brave survivors and determined journalists.
The family courts operated in darkness for too long. We will not stop until open justice becomes the standard, not the exception.
The police were prepared for thousands of Britain First supporters today. In reality the number was in the hundreds not thousands.
Once again we're reminded bots can't vote or go to real world protests.
@BeanoCheesy@CraigHouston_@DeathlyAcorn@KevinTheRanter MSPs have a LEGAL DUTY to represent all constituents equally, without discrimination, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity or sexuality. Anyone who cannot meet that standard should not hold public office funded by taxpayers. @CraigHouston
@CraigHouston_@BeanoCheesy@DeathlyAcorn@KevinTheRanter I know it's the role, but will YOU as an MSP in the Scottish Parliament represent everyone equally and work to protect and support all communities, including minorities like LGBTQ+ people and Muslims, without discrimination?
@CraigHouston_@BeanoCheesy@DeathlyAcorn@KevinTheRanter You would be happy to represent and help constituents with issues or concerns, regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity, beliefs, sexual identity. You would provide support to Muslims, gay, lesbian and transgender people?
