Our September Employee of the Month is @PaulKinderMS teacher and 2024-2025 BSSD Teacher of the Year, Mr. Jordan Lockwood. 🎉
PKMS Principal Dr. Leimkuehler said, “The emphasis and focus on kindness and responsibility are a key part of who Mr. Lockwood is as a teacher and has become a big part of who we are as Grizzlies. He is a phenomenal teacher who can engage all students through innovative teaching and collaborates with others to enhance learning schoolwide.”

This week I was giving a new teacher a tour of our school and introducing her to people. A student overheard me and walked up to the new teacher and said, “You’re going to love it here.” 💜🖤
I sat on my first thesis defense committee for an education specialist student tonight. Witnessing students of all ages reach educational milestones is definitely a favorite!
@BethHouf I’ve been re-reading “Lead Like a Pirate” to start this year and enjoy reflecting on things with a little more experience and fortitude. Thanks for leading the chat today!
A4: The thing I value most in other leaders (and aspire to be more like) is their ability to give full attention when someone pops in to talk. I feel like my mind is running 100 mph and I admire & trust those that can stop and invest fully in someone else at any time #LeadLAP
A3: The best way I take care of myself is to give myself grace. I’m often quick to extend this to others and slow to realize I need it too. ID what can wait and when it’s time to stop is key. I use a lot of post-it notes to take it off my brain and leave it on my desk #leadLAP
