HR: Tell me what is not on your CV.”
Don’t say…
❌ “I’m passionate about this role/industry.”
❌ “I have X years of experience in Y.”
❌ “I’m a fast learner and a hard worker.”
That’s not what they’re actually asking.
Here’s the part nobody explains.
“Tell me what is not on your CV.” is not an invitation to add more bullets on your duties, skills or education.
- You’re not explaining your past.
-You’re positioning your value.
What they’re really listening for:
1. Do you understand why we’re hiring?
2. Do you understand our problems?
3. Can you connect yourself to our future?
That’s the part most candidates miss.
✅ "Try this instead:
“From our conversation and the role description, I understand you’re looking for someone who can (key requirement) while tackling (specific challenge).
In my previous roles, I’ve done exactly that. For example, (Achievement 1) and (Achievement 2).
What excites me about this role isn’t just the progression, but the opportunity to add long-term value by (strength / impact area).”
That’s it.
- You’re no longer talking about the CV they read.
- You’re showing you understand them — and why you’re the solution.

The story of Neymar Jr’s night:
The doctors told him NOT to play because he can’t function properly with his knee.
But he IGNORED the doctors’ advice because Santos is close to the relegation zone and he doesn’t want to let them go down.
He scored once and provided an assist, helping Santos win a very important match in the relegation battle.
He gets substituted in the 90th minute and receives a STANDING OVATION from the Brazilian crowd, and he becomes very emotional. It touches him. He’s doing everything he possibly can to help his club Santos. Beautiful to see.
Neymar still got it. 🇧🇷✨
You’re crying over her at night while she’s putting it back in for her crush when it slips out, with the same hand she blocked you everywhere so quit being pathetic.
