social media: good or bad for society, children, and relationships?

great to see the recent social media bans for under 16 in Australia and abroad — especially with the rise of AI and outsourcing of thought — the kids need parameters so that they can develop their own critical thinking skills and to utilize these tools in a meaningful way.

but social media engagement has real positives for society and the improvement of family life too, such as being able to connect with others, expand networks, and build movements for social change.
