Remember: if your pet goes into the water or gets stuck in mud, don't go after it. Move to a place you can get to safely and call its name. If you think your pet is in danger, call 999 or 112 and ask for the coastguard.

Meet Rosa, the retriever who needed retrieving! After swimming out to sea to take a closer look at the local seal population, RNLI lifeguards at Sea Palling came to the rescue. Returning to shore, they praised Rosa’s owner for staying calm and not entering the water.

[Gramophone @GramophoneMag]

Vaughan Williams's The Lark Ascending and Tallis Fantasia are amongst the most popular works by any British composer, but it is in his nine symphonies that we feel the true substance of a composer who was far more than a mere painter of beautiful scenes.

This week is #DrowningPreventionWeek.

👉 We want to remind people about the dangers of entering open water.

It may seem tempting, especially on a warm day, but cooling off in open water can have deadly consequences. ❌

Please #BeWaterAware.

Wishing a very happy 90th birthday to brass legend Denis Wick, from all of us at the LSO. Denis was Principal Trombone of the LSO from 1957 to 1988, and his playing has inspired and encouraged a generation of brass players! Cheers 🎉🥂

@Nicolaj1968 @WYP_PCWILLIS That's a great question - I've often wondered too. Lorries hassle you & if you don't speed up, they get impatient/overtake.

[Matthew @alientuba]

@WYP_PCWILLIS Was coming North up the M1 yesterday (from Chesterfield area) & there was a van parked on the hard shoulder in a busy part & driver stood halfway up grass enbankment & looked like he was having a wee in full view!🤨So #dangerous & #inappropriate!
