@BrianneM20 I think that to a degree protests around abortion clinics can be deemed expressions of hate, and thus should not infringe upon one's freedom of expression. I agree that bullying is an accurate description of what may be happening, and bullying should be reprimanded for all ages.

Is the union request for an injunction to stop the Manitoba government from initiating a 2 year wage freeze reasonable? Among various rebuttals, the government simply argues it's right to legislate, and that a freeze falls within it's power to set policy.

@jacquelinebcss1 The 9th and 14th #amendments in the US constitution are used by pro-abortion movements to argue in their favor. However I think the underlying issue is that in states with a prominent religious influence, it is more difficult to de-stigmatize #abortion.

@BCSSLawDas The biggest argument in favour of gun rights is the second amendment. IF hypothetically the US abolished the second amendment, could all other amendments be brought into question? I think the problem is that removing one brings into question the integrity of all the others.

@BCSSLawDas I agree that school uniforms do infringe upon s.2 of the Charter, but because not all schools have a uniform policy it is easy to argue that if you don't like the policy, simply go elsewhere. This would be different if uniforms were a federal or provincial policy.

@BCSSLawDas I think that one of the primary reasons for this is to protect people who are forced into prostitution via human trafficking. It would be unfair to prosecute someone who is forced into prostitution, and thus to discourage "business" it is easier to make those purchasing liable.

@BCSSLawDas Actually it has been proven that carrying out the death sentence in most cases costs more than maintaining an inmates life sentence. So the death penalty really boils down to its morals because there isn't a legitimate argument for it's economic value.

The article does not bring to light the severe negligence occurring in state penitentiary's, which begs the question of why can a news source warp stories and antagonize whomever they feel. Is it possible that race played a role in the writing of this one sided article?

I'm not necessarily interested in the topic the article discusses, but in the writing itself. The victim of negligence and violence in a state penitentiary is mocked by the sarcastic tone of the article, and constantly referred to as the "cop killer".

@BrookeSCHA I think that on the contrary animal cruelty is an issue that has had a lot of attention drawn to it in the last few decades. My question is why was this man caught so late, and what kind of regulations can be applied to catch acts of animal cruelty sooner?
