I keep seeing articles about a woman suing Disney after getting a “wedgie” on a water slide.

To be clear: the woman was injured so badly that her intestines protruded through her abdominal wall & blood gushed out of her.

Disney is trying to downplay her VERY SERIOUS injuries.

@GicAriana When you think back to Chechnya in the 90s, it wasn't muslim countries that showed the most ardent support. It was countries that knew Soviet and Russian rule. We feel closer to each other not bc of religion or nationality, but bc we are bonded through the suffering we endured.

@GicAriana I don't think they really came to this conclusion, but I figured, it wasn't bc one religion is "better"; it's bc Muslims knew oppression under the Soviet system, too. Easier to doubt stereotypes and to feel solidarity when you're also oppressed.
