The worst people got that way because they did not receive the help they needed. Neglect, abuse, lack of education, the worst people just needed help at one point. But, this doesn’t excuse the worst people of their actions, it simply explains it.

People are inherently neutral, not good nor evil as those are human constructs and nature itself doesn’t abide that. Living things are placed upon this scale of good in evil as a result of external factors, nobody is inherently evil.

Allowing and being complicit with the government killing criminals implies you are also complicit with innocent people being killed by the government. At a 12% exoneration rate of those placed on death row in the US, it’s not okay to allow the government to have that power.
