Recently I was listening to an interview of Chang Chen with @matgpod guys.
@ChangChen_CC is the founder of Hockey Stick, a growth agency that has helped 100+ startups and AI companies like HeyGen, Gamma, https://t.co/xxRsQjHruX and Microsoft drive 300%+ growth and generate more than 35 billion impressions. She’s not a “marketing guru”, she’s a former growth leader at https://t.co/xxRsQjHruX, HeyGen, Cartesia and Microsoft who now builds creator led growth systems for AI products at scale
I got immersed and thought of sharing a few Lessons from this Interview:
1:Long Term Creator Deals Beat One Off Campaigns
Chang pushes founders away from “one YouTube video and done.”
Her model: 6 to 9 month creator contracts with fixed fee + affiliate upside.
Because you’re buying consistency not just impressions ; repeated touchpoints compound trust and usage.
2:Co Creation > Ads
According to Chang, hard ads almost never go viral.
The best campaigns start with a clear brief, then let creators shape the story in their own voice.
And the result is amazing. content looks like their idea not a brand insertion and performs like native posts not sponsorships.
3:Kill the Hashtags and UTM Links
This is counterintuitive but powerful. Posts that scream “#ad” or show ugly tracking links tank in engagement.
Hockey Stick uses onboarding questionnaires and internal tracking but lets creator content look clean and organic on the surface.
4:Don’t Copy Competitors’ Creator Playbook
Many teams reverse engineer whatever worked for a rival and assume the same channels will work for them.
Chang thinks this burns time and budget if you don’t understand your own product–channel fit.
The first job is to find your growth loop then plug creators into it.
5:PLG Is Not an Escape From Sales
She calls out a common AI founder fantasy: “we’ll just be product led and never hire sales.”
For high ticket, complex tools, forcing PLG because you hate sales is a trap.
Hockey Stick designs creator content to support a real sales motion not replace it.
Underneath it all, Chang’s message is simple:
The best creator campaigns in AI don’t look like campaigns. They feel like real people showing how they actually use the product and that’s exactly why they work.

My dad has paid for Walmart+ for 3 years.
He thought it just meant "free grocery delivery."
That's it. That's all he ever used it for.
Walmart says members save around $380/year using the perks. He was using maybe one of them.

Prompt:
Seedance 2.0 Fast | Ultra-Realistic 3D Cinematic | 8 Seconds | 16:9 | Detailed Prompt
Create an 8-second ultra-realistic 3D cinematic video with photorealistic human characters, premium CGI quality, physically accurate animation, realistic facial expressions, natural body language, smooth camera movement, and seamless transitions. The character must remain perfectly consistent throughout the video. Every movement should feel organic with realistic weight, timing, and balance. Use bright natural daylight, realistic colors, soft shadows, lush greenery, detailed textures, accurate reflections, and cinematic depth of field. The environment should feel like a real family home's backyard garden—not fantasy. Include subtle wind, birds, moving leaves, realistic cloth simulation, hair physics, and immersive environmental details.
Scene 1 (0.0–2.0s) – Planting the Coin
A cheerful young woman wearing comfortable casual home clothes walks into her beautiful backyard garden. The garden has vibrant green grass, colorful flowers, healthy plants, and a few fruit trees gently swaying in the breeze. Sunlight is soft and natural with realistic ambient lighting. She kneels on the grass, digs a tiny hole with her fingers, places a single shiny coin into the soil, gently covers it, pats the ground with both hands, and smiles hopefully. The camera begins with a medium-wide shot and slowly pushes in while maintaining smooth cinematic stabilization. Her facial expressions, blinking, breathing, and eye movements look completely natural.
Scene 2 (2.0–4.0s) – The Money Tree
The soil begins to move naturally. Tiny cracks appear as a healthy green sapling quickly grows into a medium-sized leafy tree within seconds. Fresh green leaves spread across the branches while crisp US dollar bills naturally appear hanging among the leaves instead of fruit. The transformation is smooth and believable without excessive magical effects. The camera slowly circles around the woman as her facial expression transitions from curiosity to complete amazement. Her eyes widen, eyebrows lift naturally, and she smiles with genuine excitement. The tree blends perfectly into the realistic garden environment.
Scene 3 (4.0–6.0s) – Dream Celebration
Unable to contain her excitement, she laughs joyfully and starts picking dollar bills from the branches. She throws handfuls of money into the air, spins happily beneath the tree, and watches the bills flutter realistically in the gentle breeze. Hair strands, clothing fabric, tree leaves, and floating money all react naturally to the wind with realistic physics. The camera smoothly follows her movements using cinematic tracking while maintaining focus on her joyful expressions. The garden remains bright, colorful, peaceful, and highly detailed throughout.
Scene 4 (6.0–8.0s) – Funny Reality Check
A loud alarm suddenly interrupts the moment.
Instant hard cut to her bedroom.
She wakes up on a simple bed with messy hair, sleepy eyes, slightly wrinkled clothes, and a confused expression. Morning daylight enters naturally through the window. She quickly looks around, remembering the money tree, then excitedly jumps out of bed expecting to find it. Her foot immediately catches in the blanket, causing her to trip and fall harmlessly onto the floor with realistic body physics. She sits on the floor rubbing her head, gives an embarrassed and disappointed look directly toward the camera, then sighs as the alarm continues ringing. End with a perfectly timed comedic freeze frame.
Visual Style
Ultra-realistic 3D CGI, Hollywood cinematic quality, premium rendering, natural daylight, realistic skin textures, lifelike facial animation, detailed environments, smooth camera motion, authentic physics, consistent character design, realistic depth of field, immersive atmosphere, emotional acting, clean composition, no fantasy color grading.

Created this video using @ClipflyOfficial HappyHorse 1.1 model.
Prompt: Create a 15-second ultra-realistic cinematic lifestyle vlog of a 22-year-old female influencer making breakfast in a bright, modern apartment kitchen during golden morning light. Keep the same character throughout the video with consistent appearance. She wears an oversized cream sweatshirt and grey lounge shorts while casually filming herself with a high-end smartphone using smooth handheld camera movement, natural autofocus, shallow depth of field, and warm cinematic color grading. She opens the refrigerator, grabs breakfast ingredients, cooks fluffy scrambled eggs with butter, makes and flips a golden pancake, prepares a Greek yogurt bowl with granola, berries, banana, and honey, then pours a fresh cup of coffee and enjoys everything at a sunny dining table while smiling at the camera. Include realistic food textures, soft natural lighting, subtle motion blur, authentic kitchen sounds like sizzling butter, coffee pouring, utensils, and birds outside, along with believable facial expressions and accurate lip-sync. The dialogue is: "Come make breakfast with me... I'm starving.", "Scrambled eggs are non-negotiable.", "Okay... that flip was actually kind of impressive.", "This might be my favorite part.", and "Breakfast is served. Hope you have the best day." The final result should look like a premium TikTok or Instagram Reel filmed in 4K with a cozy, natural influencer aesthetic.
