@CJessCooke@CaledonianNews As a proud Caley graduate - Yeah!!!
Glad she got in, you can relax a little now.
My kid got the grade he needed for Glasgow so I can have a library study buddy - lol! Can you imagine the mortification.
Edna O'Brien yesterday, Francine Pascal today. One of these writers had a profound effect on my life. As a literature student, I'd like to say it was Edna...
Have to agree with @Mslexia today - emerging writers don't need to be under 40. As a single parent with 4 children, I had no time to write fiction until in my 50s - and won the @Mslexia competition at 55. I always had the ideas, just needed the time before 'emerging'...
All emerging writers schemes should include writers over 40 – writers can emerge at any age, and women writers especially are frequently prevented from taking up writing until later in life (as we well know)!

‘the prescription’ returns this summer! The Anatomy Museum, University of Glasgow, is hosting the group for workshops and new writing inspired by this atmospheric setting. Thanks to all involved for their enthusiasm! #medhums#writing@UofGWriting@glasgowmedhums@RCPSGheritage
@sarajcox Setting: A cubicle in a busy public toilet
Small son: Mummy the hole my wee comes out of is red. Is yours blue?
Me: No.
Small son: can I see?
Cue hysterical laughter from cubicle next door.
@tattooedselkie This is how I would do it.
So the patch would be inside and not noticeable just the stitching on top and you can use a coordinating thread to minimise stitches being seen. #savethedinodungarees

Imagine you’re Lana Del Ray and one of the greatest rock and roll stars sing one of your songs. Patti Smith accompanied by her son dedicates it to his father and her husband who passed away 30 years ago. This was beautiful.
