Have to agree with @Mslexia today - emerging writers don't need to be under 40. As a single parent with 4 children, I had no time to write fiction until in my 50s - and won the @Mslexia competition at 55. I always had the ideas, just needed the time before 'emerging'...

All emerging writers schemes should include writers over 40 – writers can emerge at any age, and women writers especially are frequently prevented from taking up writing until later in life (as we well know)!

So the patch would be inside and not noticeable just the stitching on top and you can use a coordinating thread to minimise stitches being seen. #savethedinodungarees
