I love my wife, my kids, baseball, and whiskey.

[Ethan Embry @EmbryEthan]

We should all watch this speech. It’s not because it’s so good, while it is that good, it’s because it’s so true. It’s a perfect communication of what’s at stake.

[Dr. Jill Biden @DrBiden]

To those who never wavered, to those who refused to doubt, to those who always believed, my heart is full of gratitude.

Thank you for the trust you put in Joe—now it’s time to put that trust in Kamala.

Love,
Jill

Every day is a great day to read a book.

I read this story about a legendary party Willie Mays threw for the kids in his SF neighborhood and never forgot it. Fantastic player but a truly special person. God speed. https://t.co/7p9uC0h3th

The viewership numbers are in for the men’s & women’s 2024 NCAA Basketball National Championships:

Men’s: 14.8 million
Women’s: 18.7 million

Invest in women’s sports.

A massive loss. @dankildee is a thoughtful and phenomenal member who fights for democracy.

[Sen. Debbie Stabenow @SenStabenow]

.@RepDanKildee embodies everything we want our public servants to be. His love for his hometown of Flint, his district, and the state of Michigan is so clear and shows up in all of his work in Congress.

Hurrah!!! Congrats to you both!

Some news from us: we’re engaged!

After nine years together, we got engaged in St. Wolfgang, Austria while hiking Schafberg Mountain and overlooking Wolfgang Lake. We are excited for this next chapter together. ❤️

@NEHgov loves National History Day!

[Jonathan Feng @jonfeng1]

Seconded. You meet a lot of bright kids passionate about history who might also wind up being your boss someday, so it's always good to try to get in early.

I feel like I got Rick-rolled.

And as @JackieGardina might remember, today is 10 years married, 15 years together!

[Congresswoman Chellie Pingree @chelliepingree]

.@rblancopoet continues to make Maine proud! His poetry and storytelling have enriched the lives of so many. For a medal that recognizes the contributions to American culture, I couldn’t think of anyone more deserving. Congratulations!

[NEH Chair @NEHchair]

At #HumHill23, I expressed my gratitude to @HumFed for its continual support in advancing the work of @NEHgov and the humanities nationwide.

NEH will continue to tell the nation’s history through programming & resources that challenge and connect us all.

So we’re all watching C-SPAN at 11pm on a Friday night huh

The word that keeps running around my head for what is happening in tonight’s “negotiations” is Danegeld. Not saying it is the most apt comparison but . . . should we really be trying to find out?

I'm nominating the Cspan camera folks for best cinematography in a limited series.

What an honor to be sworn in as NEH Chair with my Navajo Bible by @VP Harris.

I was thankful to be surrounded by family and have them bear witness to such a joyous ceremony.

[National Endowment for the Humanities @NEHgov]

.@NEHchair Shelly C. Lowe (Navajo) was ceremonially sworn in yesterday by @VP Harris.

Chair Lowe took the oath of office on a Navajo Bible, held by her youngest son.

Thank you to @VP Harris and @SecondGentleman for the holiday invitation.
