“Evangelism is not for extroverts. It's for believers. You don't need the perfect script— just a real encounter with Jesus and a willing heart. Boldness comes when you remember what's at stake.” ~ @EvangelistDag
Be prepared for the fact that the moment you make a decision to move on and step into the next phase of your purpose, something, someone, or someplace from the very thing you’re trying to move on from will somehow come into your orbit to try and derail you. You’ll have to learn to not give in to the temptation to go back, start obsessively ruminating, or rely on former coping mechanisms to avoid feeling the frustration, despair, disappointment or longing for what once was. It will eventually get easier, but until it does, it simply isn’t. You’ll have to walk by faith and not by sight or feelings. There’s no shortcuts, but who you’re becoming in the process will astound even you when you get to the other side. Keep going. Don’t stop.
The best way to beat anxiety? Give up control!
If something is out of control to begin with, the best thing you can do for yourself, your mental space, and even your time is to simply give up trying to force control over it. You will be amazed at how much peace you will feel when you recognize it is out of your control and focus on the things that are within your control. The only thing you can control is yourself and your reactions. So when things spin out of your control, simply take a deep breath and let it go.

I have now read and spoken in eight cities, with eight more to go. Everywhere, people in audience are incredibly afraid of the future—both in November, and as the climate is destroyed. That’s why I wrote this book, for my son and grandson when I’m gone. https://t.co/UzDccYHofg

I learned from a wise mentor many decades ago that the degree to which we love ourselves is the degree to which we will love others well. Initially, I wondered if he was overstating his case. But I’ve since discovered, it is more true than we can even imagine.
Your ability to make something work has everything to do with your ability to let go of something that does not work, grieve it, and move on. If you lose something and cannot fix it, then it’s time to wave the white flag and surrender, let it go, and leave it in the past. There is a reason why some people are able to lose and make peace with it, and others stay stuck. They can’t surrender and face the feelings and the meaning of some losses, so they hang on to something dead.
