Here is a National Blend of Models representation of the potential rainfall amounts to come tomorrow, July 28th, across the state. Keep in mind, given this is a "blend" there will be areas that see higher and/or lower amounts due to the nature of thunderstorms. Thunderstorms may drop a lot of rain in one location, but barely anything just down the road. The best chance to see the heaviest storms will be across eastern Pennsylvania, where training and repeated thunderstorms may even bring localized amounts of 3 to 6 inches of rainfall.

Remember: NEVER DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED WATERS! You never know how deep the water actually is, and you will likely put your life at risk doing so. Share to spread the word!

⚠️ FLASH FLOODING RISK INCREASED FOR THIS TUESDAY 7/28 ⚠️

Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected across central and eastern Pennsylvania later Tuesday afternoon and evening. In response, the WPC has placed parts of the region under a flash flood risk (level 1/4 - green, level 2/4- yellow). Scattered flash flooding events are expected in the level 2/4(yellow). Flash flooding is expected in the heavy thunderstorms due to the recently saturated ground and high atmospheric moisture content. Thunderstorms may produce 1-2"+/hr rates tomorrow, which can lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding may occur as quick as minutes in the heaviest thunderstorms. A major forest fire has broken out in the Carbonaire area of La Vall d'Uixó, in the province of Castellón, Valencia region, Spain.

Emergency crews have activated the forest fire response plan, with seven aircraft and numerous ground teams battling the flames.

A nearby residential area has been evacuated, while residents in La Vilavella have been told to stay indoors due to heavy smoke. Avoid the area and keep roads clear for emergency crews.

A major wildfire in the Cairngorms National Park has forced Police Scotland to declare a major incident in the Highlands of Scotland.

Nethy Bridge village has been fully evacuated, with access roads closed and exclusion zones in place. Popular tourist areas, including Loch Morlich, Glenmore, Abernethy Forest and Cairngorm Mountain, have also been shut due to the extreme fire risk.

Heavy smoke has drifted up to 60 miles away, prompting air quality warnings for parts of Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City. Authorities are reminding the public that all fires and barbecues are currently banned across the national park.
