Crews from Hanley, Newcastle, Longton and Cheadle are dealing with a large waste fire at Wallys Quarry, Cemetary Rd, Newcastle under Lyme. Due to a large smoke plume advise to keep doors and windows closed.
Very concerned to hear that Walleys Quarry is on fire tonight - have been in touch with the Police and Fire Commissioner and asked for a briefing first thing.
The health and safety of residents is the top priority and that’s why we need the damn site closed. And fast.
@ADThomas_1970@ConversationUK Thanks for sharing this, Tom. It was really interesting and useful to see perspectives that I hadn't really appreciated. Big love to you and your family xxx
An exciting week for two of my @KeeleGGE PG students! Ellie headed to Exeter, Penryn, to train with Torsa from the @ConvexSeascape group, and Ally spent time analysing cores @BOSCORF_NOC with Miros, Cian & Rebecca. Many thanks to all for their generosity & time! #paleo

@TheDJ_King Maybe something like Rosalina williamsoni? https://t.co/cMEi5pcsyR They are found in shelf seas. They tend to be flattish with sweeping sutures and a slightly keeled periphery that gives that 'see-through' border. #ForamFriday (even though it's Tuesday! Maybe #TaxonomyTuesday!).
