Going through some secondary literature on some food films and realizing I have a new pet peeve: mixing up characters' names in the text to the point of giving them completely made-up names that are not in the films–at all...

@EvaRueskamp Agreed. I also thoroughly enjoy some of the networking events that conferences incorporate into their formats which keep me from just sneaking off in the corner and sipping on coffee in the in-person conference breaks like the introvert I am.

Submitted conference proposals for 2022. I'm so excited to share my research and insights on contemporary food TV. I'm also grateful for the virtual options–especially as I am an immigrant and need a visa (and ample processing time) for any & all conferences out of the EU.

As of yesterday, I completed my first semester of teaching at my new uni. It was a whirlwind of a semester, largest student attendance I ever had in both courses, starting in-person, switching to online, students missing large chunks of the course due to COVID. 1/
