@balajis The parallel infrastructure growing around DAOs & The Pseudonymous Economy is perfect for merit based work.
DAOs break corporate hierarchy so new ideas are crowdsourced and transparent.
Pseudonymous economy breaks pre-existing bias so judgment is based on the quality of ideas.
So @elonmusk was my hero before and even more so post seeing this.
@codorniou I think we might have found our anchor for Mama’s Boy Capital.
Cc @shak@Beezer232 😂
@HugoAmsellem The answer to “What do you do?” should be “creator”. This needs to be normalized asap and people need to understand that it’s actually possible to live a great life as a creator with crypto

YouTubers, TikTokers, Instagrammers -- these names will all disappear and the reign of the creators will soon begin.
Why? Because no one has won the social media war and the future is consequently multi-platform.
@Cooopahtroopa It starts off as a quick Google search, then a basic investment, then a hobby after work, then work itself, and then you just can’t see the world the same way

We're excited to take a huge first step towards decentralized governance. $OGN holders can shape the direction of our platform, products, and token economics beginning now.

@Cooopahtroopa Check out this thread if you're interested to learn more about community leads/managers. @pet3rpan_ has a fantastic guide as well.

Community leads are the single most valuable hire right now.
Social skills are quickly becoming as important as technical skills.
Huge opportunity for those new to crypto.

I'm curious to see what background or credentials you need to be a great community manager? What are DAOs looking for and are there resources to learn how to get started?
Tagging @shegenerates & @AlexMasmej because I'm new to the DAO space and both of you seem responsive/nice!
@all_about_DAOs More than 5 tabs on my screen used to give me anxiety, and now I only start closing them once the tabs are so small that I can't tell what they are anymore. "Rabbit hole" isn't the right term for it - it's more like the crypto ant farm, except that sounds weird.
Okay here's my mental model on @nowdaoit.
It's like Reddit. "Front page of DAOs" where anyone can go and explore DAOs just as if they were joining different subreddits.
AND
It's like Shopify. A "no-code" solution to start & operate DAOs.
Thoughts?
Jeez web3 really is a different world. Every time I try to learn about something, it leads me to opening another 10 tabs.
And the craziest part is that 2021 is still considered early for defi.
@stefdelev This definitely doesn't solve it entirely but adding more ways for community members to earn governance tokens through active participation e.g. helping to write proposals, giving feedback on Discord, taking notes, etc
This is such an important question. There's not really a solid answer yet imo.
@lindaxie made a good point about creating opportunities for new members to earn tokens through active contribution (i.e. proposals/discord).
"3 proposals = 1 token"
Any other ideas on this?
How are folks thinking about token disparity in DAOs? When new people join a DAO and buy a few governance tokens (at a high price) and realize that half of the older members have thousands more (bought at lower prices), it's a mental barrier to them participating and voting
