@levelsio@simeonkerkola@GolerGkA I'll put it this way: If you have never tried to make a game, I am sure it is fun to have a game-making experience.
For those who have made games, even just simple ones, getting stuff on the screen is not impressive, it's easy; it's making the game *good* that is hard.
I’m gifting three File Pilot licenses to students or younger programmers (one Pro, two Essential). @vkrajacic was extremely generous and gifted me one for free, so I’d like to return the favor and help others out.
If you’re a student or a younger programmer, reply with a screenshot, video, or demo of something cool you work on. I’ll pick three people from the replies.
You can try File Pilot for free, so do that (if you haven’t) to see if you’re interested in a license for the future updates.

If you are truly passionate about Programming do not work as a Software Engineer in the foreseeable future. It's gonna drain all the passion and soul out of you. Keep it a hobby until the market and culture around it changes. In fact you are gonna be the change.

The two biggest things any developer needs to know
1. Time in the Saddle
2. Practice Enough New & Interesting Skills
Remember those, memorize them, make acronyms out of them.
IMHO an easy mistake people tend to make is to depend on third-party libraries too much. There's a library doesn't mean you have to use it. For mold, I wrote a YAML parser, DWARF debug info parser and ELF/Mach-O binary format parser, and I'm very happy with them.
