@HLSIII But Mercedes had it worst to the detriment of their performance. And what did they do? You guessed it "SAFETY" which made the other teams so mad especially red bull's then team boss christian horner who made that infamous statement to toto in a team's boss meeting.

@HLSIII As I said it's politics. Is the game who is smart enough to convince the fia. And many teams know if you put the word "saftey" in your argument it is more likely to strike a nerve to the fia. Do you remember the porpoising issue which many teams had.

@HLSIII @JoeyF1_ @autosport Concerning the veto I don't know the nature of the contract and a lot of the teams that are in f1 today were not present at that time. But my guess is that the Ferrari lawyers must have done something spectacular in the contract for it to stand till date.

@HLSIII @JoeyF1_ @autosport Well because the teams were made aware of the issue beforehand and deliberately chose not to deal with it Ferrari feels that the word "SAFETY" is used by other teams who are now realizing they may have a disadvantage as an attempt to sway the fia.

@JoeyF1_ @HLSIII @autosport That's Right! "If" it's a safety issue. Which in this case Ferrari argues it's not a safety issue but an engineering issue. Because the matter was raised earlier by Ferrari to the fia and the other teams said it's not a concern.
