Heavenly Father,
Today my heart is heavy. I come before You grieving the loss of a dear friend, a husband, a father, a man who loved deeply and was deeply loved especially by his family.
@wesruckerTBA thank you for giving your all. Rest easy, hermano! #VAMOSVOLS🪽
With temperatures dropping into the single digits tonight, we’re especially reminded of the grit and sacrifice it takes after so much destruction across our system. We are endlessly grateful for the lineworkers’ dedication today and every day. Let’s show ‘em some love! #thankalineworker
A few basic thoughts now that some time has passed…
- If there have been any doubts at the QB position, they should be gone. Aguilar is a massive upgrade for this system, and he played really well today (go take a look at how many teams have put up over 41 on Kirby. Hint: You can count on one hand)
- OL did a solid job pass blocking today. We need that to continue
- Our receivers played really well. Many of them are still gaining experience, and they are going to get more and more dangerous as the season goes. Brazzell looked phenomenal
- We need our guys back on defense. If we had them today, depth alone would have gotten us a win by 2+ scores
- Our program is stabilizing, and I’m pumped about it. It’s easy to get upset about this game and pick out every single thing you didn’t like, but that’s football. It’s not perfect. We played dead even with one of the top programs (if not the top) in the conference over the past few years. We’re getting where wee need to be. Don’t be one of those people who can’t see the forest for the trees
“On Sunday when the nation has work off all day we will play half the March Madness games after 9 pm.”
“Why not just play them all during the day?”
“Nobody knows.”
No one deserves this more than Mashack
4 years of being the best defender in the SEC, the best teammate you can ask for, and an all around amazing person in the community
"Don't ever underestimate a team that loves to play for their coach."
Legendary #Vols kicker and 1998 national champ Jeff Hall praises the culture Josh Heupel has built at Tennessee.
"Good season, Tennessee. It was better than Bama's, and you beat Bama. Your reward is a game on the road against the most talented team in the country. If somehow you win, you'll play the No. 1 team in the country."
"Bama, don't laugh until Tennessee leaves the room."
Wow. Goes to show you how hard it is to win in Norman when the crowd REALLY wants it.
Just an elite atmosphere and team that Venables has put together.
Imagine walking in there as a top-15 team and coming out with a win.
Must be really difficult.
Hey haters, remember when we said that Indiana was undefeated because they’ve benefited from an easy schedule so far, & you called us SEC homers? It’s almost like we were exactly right. Crazy.
Every non-UT fan is quick to tell you how terrible Tennessee fans are.
Yet they built Zakai Zeigler a home after a fire and have now raised $10,000+ for an opposing player who lost both his parents.
Keep doing what you do Vol Nation. Some of us appreciate all you do 🤝🍊
