My unpopular opinion is that fireworks are stupid. They're nightmarish for many veterans, they pollute the air, they scare the shit out of pets, and they harm wildlife. There is no reason for them being in set off residential areas.
Hot take: they should've made Father's Day before Mother's Day so the moms can set a precedent to the dads for how it's supposed to be done. (Making a homemade card, saying happy Mother's Day, etc) 🌼 🌸 🌻 🌹 🏵
Parents are told, “Introduce ONE new food at a time — like peanut butter — and wait 4–5 days to watch for ANY ALLERGIC REACTION.”
That’s official AAP & CDC guidance. Smart, cautious, and responsible.
Then at the 6-month checkup, the same experts say:
“Here’s 8 vaccines at once — DTaP, Hib, PCV, Polio, Rotavirus, HepB, and more. All together. No problem.”
How does this make any sense?
One new food at a time with a waiting period… but a full cocktail of vaccines injected and given orally all on the same day?
Babies are tiny. Their immune systems are still developing.
Parents aren’t crazy for noticing this double standard and asking questions. We want to protect our children with real informed consent — not blind trust in the schedule.
@foundring1 Most people will forever refuse to see what's right in front of them if it contradicts their comfortable narrative of how the world works. Anyone who can watch Dear Wolfgang without having their mind changed is hopeless.
