The other day at Chick-fil-A I recognized their music was an instrumental version of an early 2000s Christian pop song. Which I only knew because my #OCD made me listen to Christian radio whenever I was in the car! 😂anyway if I had been at trivia, people would be impressed

It crushes me how self-conscious my ADHD friends are. Rushed apologies for being 5 minutes late. Remorseful explanations for not replying for a couple of days. Constant sorrys for interrupting. We've been trained to see the things we struggle with as friendship dealbreakers.
Have literally never met someone whose past includes abuse, neglect or other trauma, who was "pretending to be sick" or exaggerating their pain.
But I've met LOTS of 'em who were pretending to be well & exaggerating their functionality-- and who were f*cking exhausted by it.
