Yes…we have mealworms in 3rd grade. I was hesitant at first because I do not like bugs BUT the kids are thoroughly enjoying making observations of these little creatures! We are hoping to see them go through their life cycle! #elemenary#teach#science
We celebrated our love of reading by having a City of Ember day based off the book by Jeanne Duprau. We had many activities throughout the day which included choosing jobs for the city, watching the movie, an escape room and watching the movie! The kids loved it! #read#school
@baptistepaul I was reading your book with my 3rd graders and a student gasped and said, “It’s like the author and illustrator wanted everyone to feel welcomed when they read this book! Look at all the different kids!” I definitely got teary. The kids get it. #read#teach
We had some serious learning happening in third grade today! Ss were given a fractional unit and they had to work with a partner to represent that unit many different forms. Then we went around and had an amazing discussion about each unit! #3rdgrade#math
I couldn’t sleep so I decided to work on my students so zoo area/perimeter project. They have been having so much fun and the creativity has been outstanding! #educacion#changethenareative#math#thirdgrade

I feel absolutely loved and blessed for my kids and their families! All of these books were bought and donated to our classroom at the @Scholastic book fair. I am so excited to read them all. The love of reading is strong in third grade! #learn#teach#Reading#3rdgrade
These two chapter books by Aaron Reynolds had my third graders laughing so hard and trying to solve the mystery the entire time! It was such a joy to have my third graders fall in love with these characters. Drumstick the dead chicken was definitely their favorite! #read#teach
This was such a cute book and we paired it with our writing. Love, Z is about a robot trying to find the meaning of love. My students brainstormed what love meant to them and put it in a “Love is…” poem. The results are so heartwarming and thoughtful❤️
This book was absolutely perfect for teaching @trevorabryan Access Lenses. Students were so engaged, noticed so many details, and were able to have incredible conversations around the characters and storyline. #teaching#learning#read
