@gregorykennedy I feel like if residential landlords made their income and expense statements publicly available they would, at the very least, garner some understanding, if not sympathy. The buildings don't make near as much as people think they do.
@jimsoxfan It's just a lame attempt to not get labeled as having a fire sale. The team is terrible and they should be sellers. Sonny Gray's market, for example, will likely never be higher than today. He's been excellent.
@burkov August in Rome was rough with little kids and it was only 35-38. Had AC in our accommodations, which were lovely. Still had a good time generally, though. Lovely city. Would not go back then, would go in April-May or in October.
@Microinteracti1 Love it. Have always found Europeans very warm, inviting, and helpful, especially the Spanish. Very glad people are finding Americans to be the same. But come to New England and grab yourself a sticky bun at the Publick House in Sturbridge, MA.
@Isaac1235813@heywildrich@BeNice2MeProd These words are incorrectly attributed to Hutchinson. They were written by Sir Richard Francis Burton in the volume "Wanderings in West Africa from Liverpool to Fernando Po", published anonymously in 1863. They were first misattributed in an 1868 volume by Hinton Rowan Helper.
@CynicalPublius If the entire judiciary just upholds the law, all the time, every time, consistently, then people can see whether or not the laws need to be changed because we don't like the results. I used to see the utility in judicial activism, but now I think it does more harm than good.
@OlympusMons99 @WesleyFranken @JJmoida@DGodefridi It's not all about stuff (although to some no doubt it is). Don't you want to accomplish things? It's weird to me that you don't seem to want to accomplish things.
@FischerKing64 All they need to do is right size the Congress according to the population of the least-populated state. Dems will never do it though because they feel like they would lose College votes.
