🇺🇬 17-year-old James Bogere becomes the youngest player to appear at #AFCON2025 so far.

He’s also the youngest to appear in the competition for Uganda since 1974.

Keep an eye out on this young forward. Impressed me every time I’ve watched him.

He scored 5 goals in 8 games at the U17 World Cup and AFCON.

A really technical and shifty forward who is very good at jinking past his opponents.

His best ability is the way he can change direction with his quick feet in one vs one situations.

Holds the ball up well, and is comfortable with his back to goal.

A high volume shooter, he’s a decent finisher and he’s just a constant threat upfront.

Expect him to be snapped up by a European club when he turns 18-years-old in February.

You’re widely regarded as one of the best football news updaters in the world, which is why it’s surprising to see so little coverage of AFCON.
African football has millions of passionate followers, and AFCON is a major tournament with top-quality players and exciting matches. If this were the Euros or another competition, every game would be followed closely including Man of the Match performances.
Many African fans feel overlooked, and it would mean a lot to see AFCON given the attention it truly deserves.
