recently remembered how proud I was (and still am) of this intro video for my omniscient JavaScript debugger.
watching it now, I'm still like, "wait it does MORE?" every 30 seconds.
how much longer do I have to wait for these features to be standard? 😫

@geoffreylitt I wonder if descriptive labels might be more helpful than the numerical degrees. obscuring the temperature gradient might be worth it to correct the “high number make cook faster” mindset that everyone is born with.
@geoffreylitt it's a useful design principle. I just don't think microwaves are a good example. the science of cooking is easily under-appreciated.
like my toaster oven has settings for 350°, 400°, 450°, and there are deep reasons why they added 3 options instead of a dial from 0–500°.
@jbrancha@geoffreylitt when the historical record is really important, I’ll use a project so that I can chat about tangents without worrying that the model will get confused. I’ll upload files to the project about what’s settled, so I can start one-off convos like “what if I did THIS…”
@cwervo it turns out that I *had* to wait to try this, but I finally found the time today. I felt my FFT intuition go up by at least 3 points per minute. this is gold.
@jordibruin hi, I just got MacGPT the other day! I was wondering, does the prompt in settings apply in Global mode? it doesn't seem to, but it's hard to know for sure…
@edwardbenson FINALLY FINISHED WITH BOOK 1, but I don't think I'm ready for Desolation Called Peace with all the desolation in my heart after this ending.
@lukexi@davidwengrow@davidgraeber Just finished. I even bought a paper copy for a screen-averse friend. This is a thought-provoking book! Happy birthday. :)
nothing really makes sense about taking cars, but I don’t know how Lightning could sound like that without a nasal passage, and he doesn’t even have headlights
