BREAKING: In a stunning admission, one of the most conservative Senators, Senator James Lankford, admits that it was Donald Trump who sabotaged the toughest border security legislation proposed in decades. Retweet to make sure every American sees this
In this election cycle, courts have been used more to restrict voting rights than to expand them, Marc Elias says.

HAPPENING TODAY: The Supreme Court will consider hearing two cases, both involving a common-sense federal law that prevents voters from being kicked off the registration rolls shortly before an election.

When we win, the first bill I’m filing is a comprehensive anti-corruption package:
Overturn Citizens United
Ban corporate PACs and super PACs
Ban members of Congress from trading stocks
Once we defeat the most corrupt politician in America, we can defeat this corrupt system.
(6/7) 🏛️ SENATE RUNOFF
Rep. Mike Collins, an election denier who defended Jan. 6 rioters, won the GOP Senate runoff and will face incumbent Sen. Jon Ossoff (D) in November.
Republicans currently control the Senate. If Democrats gain four seats in the midterms, they could take back the chamber.

BREAKING: HOLY SMOKES! Senator Jon Ossoff is absolutely CRUSHING his MAGA opponent in fundraising with $60 million compared to just $4.9 million.
And it gets so much better....
“It’s a real severe uphill battle,” one Republican operative told POLITICO.
As of May 27, Ossoff had raised $60 million with $32 million left on hand. His opponent Mike Collins had raised $4.9 million with $1.2 million left in the bank.
Ossoff is currently running for reelection in Georgia on a campaign of hope, competence, and opposition to Trump's corrupt agenda. According to CNN's polling wizard Harry Enten, Ossoff has an 82% chance of winning based on current prediction markets.
"He is the first Democrat to be a clear favorite for a Senate race in a generation," said Enten.
There are two powerful forces at work here.
First and foremost, Georgians are pleased with Ossoff's performance in the Senate. He has been a tireless advocate for their interests and a powerful bulwark against the worst abuses of this White House.
Secondly, the Republican Party brand has never been more toxic. Donald Trump is the worst President in American history by every single metric. He destroyed the economy, started another costly, pointless foreign war, and continues to actively cover up his role in Jeffrey Epstein's crimes. The only people who have fared well during this second term are his family members, his cronies, and the already-wealthy.
Ossoff is surging so far ahead of his opponent Mike Collins that it triggered an outburst from Trump earlier this morning—
"So happy for highly respected Congressman Mike Collins," the President wrote on Truth Social. "He will win his Senate Race in Georgia against a pathetic failed Dumocrat Senator, Os(jerk!)off, who is a joke in D.C. Nobody even knows who he is!!! I’ll be doing Big TRUMP Rallies for Mike in Georgia! President DJT"
As far as political nicknames go, this is some of Trump's worst work to date. The demented old man has clearly lost his fastball at a time when he can scarcely afford it. If Ossoff holds his seats, Democrats' odds of taking back the Senate skyrocket.
Ossoff is such an inspiring candidate in fact, that there is already chatter in the party that he could one day one for President.
What do you think? Would you vote for him?
Please ❤️ and share if you're a big fan of Jon Ossoff!
Fifty years of rules keeping off-road vehicles on designated trails — GONE.
Lifted trucks, ATVs, dirt bikes, snowmobiles.
Anywhere they want. On your public lands.
Nixon protected it. Carter protected it. Trump just erased both quietly on a Friday afternoon.
A grizzly bear will abandon its habitat when there's just one mile of road per square mile. One mile. Now there's no limit on where these vehicles can go.
In the Mojave, desert tortoises have already lost 96% of their population in some monitored areas - partly because off-road vehicles crush their burrows. A federal judge just ordered 2,200 miles of trails closed to protect what's left.
Then Trump signed this.
No designated trails. No boundaries. No framework at all. When vehicles go off trail they shatter habitat into pieces too small for wildlife to survive in. They destroy stream banks. They push predators toward humans. And when that happens, the animals always lose.
There was no vote. No public comment. Just a signature.
Now the agencies tasked with writing replacement rules are the BLM, the Forest Service, and the National Park Service - all under an administration that has spent months dismantling every protection they had.
The Interior Department, led by Doug Burgum, is in charge of most of it. The same Doug Burgum who has opened public lands to drilling, mining, and grazing at every turn.
Don't hold your breath.
When the last quiet place is gone, what do we tell the children who never got to hear it?

Stephen Miller wants to flip a switch and erase one of your oldest rights.
It’s called habeas corpus.
Fancy words but a simple idea that the government can’t just grab you and lock you away. It has to prove to a judge why you’re behind bars. That right is 800 years old.
It’s older than America itself.
And Miller tried to kill it.
New reporting confirms it. Inside the White House, Miller pushed to suspend habeas corpus so agents could seize people, detain them, and deport them with no judge, no hearing, no chance to say “you’ve got the wrong guy.”
Even Trump’s own lawyers put in writing that this is illegal. Miller pushed anyway.
Miller screams “invasion” because the Constitution only allows this sort of thing during an invasion. But this same crowd brags every day that border crossings hit record lows. So which is it?
The right to challenge your own detention is the line between a republic and a regime. Lose it, and the government can disappear anyone.
I will fight this with everything I have.
The Constitution is not optional.
Not for Stephen Miller. Not for anyone.

MYTH: A widespread level of noncitizen voting is taking place across the country.
FACT: There have been very few cases of noncitizens intentionally voting illegally. Dispatching ICE agents to obtain personal voter files infringes on states’ rights to manage elections. https://t.co/B71DYaThNT
The most powerful antibiotic you’ve never heard of was sitting under scientists’ noses for decades.
A team from the University of Warwick and Monash University has discovered a hidden molecule that’s over 100 times stronger than existing antibiotics against drug-resistant bacteria like MRSA and VRE. It’s called pre-methylenomycin C lactone – and it was quietly lurking inside a well-known bacterium studied since the 1950s.
Streptomyces coelicolor is a familiar name in microbiology, known for producing the antibiotic methylenomycin A. But no one had tested the intermediate compounds created during its production – until now.
By deleting specific genes in the bacterium’s biosynthetic pathway, researchers uncovered two previously unknown intermediates. One of them, pre-methylenomycin C lactone, turned out to be a game-changer: 100x more active against Gram-positive bacteria than methylenomycin A.
The compound worked exceptionally well against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE), two of the deadliest superbugs on the World Health Organization’s priority list. Even more promising: in lab tests, the bacteria didn’t develop resistance to the compound – a rare outcome in antimicrobial research.

BREAKING: IT'S MURDER! Death of a 31-year-old woman dropped by ICE at a Pittsburgh bus stop in freezing weather with no coat ruled a homicide!
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office has ruled the death by hypothermia of Haitian immigrant Daphy Michel, who spent more than 30 hours shivering at a Pittsburgh bus stop after being dumped by ICE, a homicide.
Three days earlier, Michel had been in Washington County Jail on misdemeanor charges that a judge dismissed. Her family was waiting to pick her up in Charleroi – just a 40-minute drive away.
But because ICE had placed a detainer on her, instead of releasing her to loved ones, authorities handed her over to immigration enforcement.
ICE fitted her with an ankle monitor, put her in their “Alternatives to Detention” program, and then dropped her off on the South Side of Pittsburgh, far from home, in February cold, wearing only light clothing. She never made it back.
“When you release someone like that that far from home, it’s a recipe for disaster,” Her attorney Joseph Murphy said. “She would have been in her own environment. She wouldn’t have been sitting around a bus stop [with no coat] in February, and she’d be alive now.”
The death at the hands of ICE was no accident. It was the direct result of cold, bureaucratic cruelty, with immigration officials choosing enforcement theater over basic human decency.
County Executive Sara Innamorato said the death was “a tragedy that appears that with a little humanity, it could have been completely avoidable.”
After the death, friends and family gathered at the bus stop where she died and held a vigil for her (photo, right).
This horror is part of a pattern under Trump’s ICE that hasn’t dissipated since the agency has fallen from the headlines: they still treat people as disposable, and appear to get perverse satisfaction making life as difficult as possible for the people they harass, like dropping vulnerable individuals in unfamiliar places with no support.
Michel didn’t deserve to die alone in the cold on a bench because the system cared more about optics than people. Her death should haunt every official who signed off on this cruel process. Each one should be worried about the pendulum of justice swinging in their direction now that the ruling is official.
If this preventable, heartbreaking tragedy makes you furious, like and share this post.
No one should die abandoned in brutal winter's cold because ICE decided their life didn’t matter.
Another major environmental catastrophe that impacts on climate and world trade, but it is not on the radar.
The following link is a good video of the Sargassum problem, a pelagic seaweed floating on the surface of the ocean.
When we sailed across the Atlantic Ocean, we got stuck three times in giant mats of Sargassum. The video gives a good explanation of what happens in the Caribbean when it washes ashore, but it misses the major environmental and economic implications that have a profound impact on world trade and marine life in an entire ocean.
The Sargassum starts off from the coast of Brazil; it picks up nutrients from the Amazon and grows at an accelerated rate. It can double in biomass every 10 days. The weed crosses the South Atlantic to Africa and flows up the west coast, picking up more nutrients from the Congo and Gambia as well as agricultural run-off. By the time it reaches North Africa, Cape Verde, it takes a left turn and starts heading back across the Atlantic to the Caribbean.
There should only be 1 million tonnes of the weed in the Atlantic, but there are now 40 million, and it is expanding year on year. Sargassum is a plant, and like all plants, it requires nutrients such as phosphate. However, the massive amount of weed uses up all the phosphate and then biochemically defaults to absorbing arsenic, which sits below phosphate in the periodic table.
The Equatorial Atlantic is now devoid of phosphate, which means there is almost no phytoplankton, zooplankton or fish. When we conducted our citizen science project, 5000 samples were collected by 25 yachts at around 15 deg. North, and the results all confirmed that the Equatorial Atlantic was effectively dead.
The results were not ignored by the academics; instead, they attacked the Citizen Science project, this has become the subject of a reports by https://t.co/agIIEMzAfR.
Given the phytoplankton, such as coccolithophores and diatoms, have exhibited a regime shift, it also means the SML oil surfactant layer is gone, which means evaporation across the air-water interface has increased and aerosol/cloud formation has decreased.
Satellite.
Imagery confirms a 10%+ increase in humidity and a 10%+ decrease in cloud formation and rain.
This is climate change TICC, the consequences.
Impact on Central America, the survival of the tropical rainforests, mangroves, coral reefs, 25% of all marine life in the Atlantic and water supply for the Panama Canal. 6% of world trade and 40% of USA trade pass through the canal, and it has been totally missed as a major economic and environmental catastrophe.

Trump has now opened all five U.S. marine national monuments to commercial fishing, ending long-standing fishing restrictions across millions of protected ocean acres.
Conservationists warn the move puts habitat for whales, sea turtles, sharks, and coral reefs at risk. 🚩
Trump sent over a 100 FBI agents to raid a non profit called the Ohio Organizing Collaborative who helps get young adults to register to vote! They found no laws that were broken, but it’s obvious they’re trying to stop minorities from voting.
Trump’s FBI showed up, without warrants, at the homes of Black and Brown voter registration canvassers in Ohio. They raided the Ohio Organizing Coalition’s offices.
Over 100 agents. No charges. No crime. This is federal voter intimidation, happening right now, ahead of a major election cycle in a purple state.
Wake up and fight back people because it’s coming to your state too.
Hegseth: President Trump has made us energy independent at home. We are a net exporter.
Brennan: Yeah. Energy prices are pretty high right now so I don't know that the independence is helping at the pump.
Trump wants to throw out lawful votes, disenfranchise U.S. citizens and subvert the outcomes of elections entirely.
Don’t let him get away with it.
“Stop trying to meet him halfway,” @marceelias says. “There is no middle ground between a firefighter and an arsonist.”
