Playing multiple sports means more exposure to a varied and diverse set of movements. Through practice and repetition the athlete improves at these movements thus developing a better all around movement skill set(i.e. all around coordination, balance agility ..a better all around movement skill set then makes it easier to learn even more complex skills like those required at the higher levels of many sports...late sports specialization is best developed through early generalization...
Doesn't matter if you were born a stud or want to be a stud, playing multiple sports makes you a better athlete.
