If we get the Rafayel PV tomorrow, or something else, please do not panic. It is now fully expected to get SOMETHING, and we must be more mentally prepared than we were for Calebs.

Just do what we always have done - leave a comment asking for Valko on any social media you use, including CN media as well.

Like other comments asking for his return, and report any comments that look like spam/bot behaviour.

Be extra vigilant about rumours and any suspicious information going around. Fact check, verify and don’t panic.

Ignore people instigating fights. Block and move on. If they are being particularly malicious, save evidence (screenshots) and send it to PPG.

We will survive and get through whatever they throw at us just as we have this far!

The thing is no, LADs cannot be a great cultural export as 5. While they were undeniably successful before Valko was announced, infold was also constantly being criticized for one major thing: not listening to global players.

Whether it was lighting issues, hair textures, translation problems, themes, whatever, global was constantly being ignored and essentially being treated as second rate players, despite bringing in around 40+% of the games total revenue. This has been an ongoing issue.

By cancelling Valko and ignoring the majority of global players for over a month, they effectively set off a bomb in the powder keg of their biggest global shortcoming. They’ve shined a spotlight on the fact that yes, they want global money, but they don’t care about the global players that money comes from.

Putting Valko in the game takes nothing from the players who dislike him—this game is already set up to allow you to ignore the LIs you don’t care about, and players are well aware of that. But removing him actively lets some players take away an aspect of the game most global players were really excited for.

Without Valko, the trust from the global player base is all but gone. We’ve been told for a while that we have no say in how this game improves, but with Valko’s cancellation, we’re actively being told they would rather keep fans that actively want to destroy the game than let foreign fans feel catered to at all

The first argument I saw against Valko came from my ex-moots. They said “supporting Valko means you are against the other 5, supporting Valko means you have no issue with Caleb not getting a main story update” but that argument completely ignores how a game studio actually works.
Artists, writers and engineers that we refer as the devs don’t decide what type of content gets made (more main story, more heartfelt gifts, more ways to get diamonds) or the monetization strategy, that comes from product managers (product specialists, product owners ← my brother is one) and producers reading the market and KPIs. It’s not “Sylus devs vs Valko devs or team Caleb vs team Xavier” it’s ONE team split across projects. The artist who designed Rafayel’s outfit for the next myth might be working on Sylus’s next myth right now meanwhile the two fanbases are at each other’s throats daily 🙄

Spitting on one character’s work is spitting on the hand that designed the cards you love.

That’s why I always encouraged everyone to voice their discontent with the lack of main story and ways to get diamond. To boycott the new banners even until our demands are fulfilled.

At the end of the day we are denied content shaped with love and the people who don’t set the roadmap (the devs) saw their creation destroyed too 😢
