[China's Anti-Cyberbullying Laws & Impact for #Valko]

I saw a lot of information spreading over X, a lot of different sources, a lot of misinformation too, couldn't find anything in one place, therefore decided to come up with something to help people understand China's Anti-Cyberbullying Laws, what is currently in place, about the campaign and what is currently in draft an up for public's opinion.

📌First and foremost, China’s Cyber Administration (CAC) regulations were already in development before Valko was cancelled-these laws weren't created for Love and Deepspace or because of our boycott. To understand the timelines, ‼️please see 1st screenshot‼️.
BUT they directly change how Infold/PPG, platforms, and online mobs can act moving forward!

📌 Second of all of all, there are two distinct legal frameworks. ‼️Please see 2nd screenshot for that‼️.

📖 Framework I: The CAC's 34-Article Cyberbullying Rules (active, effective August 1, 2024)

📖 Framework II: The New National Statutory Draft (in public consultations) [July 2026]:
- On July 29, 2026, CAC introduced a draft National Anti-Cyberbullying Law (open for comments until Aug 28).
- It elevates rules to national statute: capping platform fines at 10M RMB (~$1.4M USD), holding MCN agencies liable, and strictly banning AI deepfakes & harassment.

📌 There is also a May 2026 Qinglang campaign target paid troll networks ("water armies"), fake news hoaxes, and coordinated mob defamation against companies.

📌 Now, what does this actually mean for Valko & Infold/PPG?
- These laws explicitly criminalize organized astroturfing, fake asset conspiracy hoaxes, and extortion tactics used by malicious mobs.
- It gives developers like Infold actual legal tools & statutory backing to reject mob pressure and protect their products without fear of unregulated online smear campaigns.

🐺 A little disclaimer: Please be careful when you see or spread any information and do your own research. During the boycott we need to be extra careful with that. As much as I would love to see real things happening because of Valko's cancellation, this specific situation was not influenced directly by Valko. This is still a huge win for us. Laws are not made over night, a month, this is something that truly takes time. Don't get me wrong, this is still a huge win for us as this will give Infold/PPG proper tools, but they might not be immediate considering that the new national laws are still in draft and on public consulations. The live date will most likely come later this year or early 2027.
