My latest: The Castro’s “Princess Leia” was homeless, addicted to drugs and constantly walked into traffic. She died of an overdose last month, one of hundreds of OD deaths this year in San Francisco, a city hamstrung in its efforts to address this crisis. https://t.co/UHU7RNYbwW

It’s open from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I’ve adored Golden Gate Park since my Inner Sunset days in the late 1990s, but it feels more essential than ever. If Oakland just shut 74 miles of roads to through traffic, why can’t we have JFK Drive seven days a week?
Kudos to Oakland Mayor @LibbySchaaf for closing 74 miles (!) of streets to through traffic so people can exercise while social distancing. Still little movement on that front in San Francisco. https://t.co/iv10DpV41C

One day in November, no rain fell anywhere in Australia for a full day. It was the first time in recorded history that no location on the continent received a drop of rain.
