Dhen beyru meehunnah vazeefaa dheefa bunaane dhivehin kanneiy kamunney. Redwave used to be staffed with Maldivians at all counters, and in the past 4 or so years its been changing. I hate redwave saleem with such intensity and pray for the downfall of assholes like him.
@maaish_maaee@HKurusee Why do we need them? That place was running under develop before him, it will be running and serving that community after him, we don't need political directors, increase the salary of existing healthcare workers and make services more efficient.
I am working very hard so that I can pay some tax to the state covers for the MP’s and their families to go to Singapore and Thailand for medicals.
But I will go begging whenever I needed to go abroad.
Life of an everyday Maldivian. 😭
@Ashvarg@PoliceMv As someone who currently reside in Bangladesh, these people are the most violent people I have ever seen, government should really try to decrease number of foreigners from these countries.
Since 2014, Maldivian taxpayers have been paying for MP Falah’s special health insurance.
Last year, he claimed insurance for 5 people, himself and four dependents (spouse/children under 18).
Falah and each eligible family member receive a healthcare package worth over 1.3 million per person, paid for with public money. It covers all hospitals, clinics and pharmacies across 22 countries in Asia, Europe and the Middle East, including Singapore, Thailand, Oman, the UAE and Türkiye.
And guess what, whether Falah is ever elected again or not, under the current law taxpayers will continue paying for his health insurance for the rest of his life.
Healthcare is a BASIC human need, not a privilege that should depend on whether someone holds political office. The fundamental principle of a public healthcare system should be equal access based on medical need, not political status.
MPs make the laws. Then they use those laws to give themselves premium healthcare, paid for by you, while ordinary citizens struggle to access medicines, treatment and other basic healthcare.
We have started a commoners’ petition to end this privilege.
Please sign it. Send it to your family and friends. Share it widely.

Why do we need so many MPs? One representative per atoll should be enough. What do they actually do for us besides collecting around mvr 80,000 and hiding from the public?
The next petition will be on this.
While ordinary Maldivians, the taxpayers, rely on Aasandha and NSPA, MPs use taxpayers money to receive unlimited medical insurance for themselves and their families across the ASEAN region. Medical benefits and allowances are also extended to former MPs.
We should change this, and we will…!!!
Members of Parliament should receive the same Aasandha and NSPA coverage available to every other Maldivian.
If it is good enough for the people who pay the taxes, it should be good enough for the people elected to represent them.
There're around 200K expats working in the Maldives. If we charge each of them $1k per year for Aasandha, we can give them Aasandha and cut the cost of Aasandha for locals by more than half. It'd help with regularization of illegal immigrants as well.
Yes, those photos you’ve seen are real.
More than 18 years ago, a baby named Lamine Yamal and his mom Sheila met Lionel Messi at a UNICEF fundraising photoshoot.
Today, their achievements on the pitch inspire millions. Off the pitch, both Messi and Lamine Yamal use their voices and platforms as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors to support and advocate for children around the world.
The goal? That every child survives, thrives, and fulfils their potential.
We are proud to have them on our team.

One by one, hospitals in India are discontinuing Aasandha services for vulnerable people, while our MPs receive full health insurance coverage for their entire families, funded by the same people who are suffering because of these discontinuations.
The system never favours the people who truly need it; it only favours those who created it.
