I studied this in the past. IIRC, the square-cube law makes the blue whale very close to the maximum physically possible size for an animal. It has to be something completely and fundamentally different, with a new nonexistent type of circulation and a new nonexistent type of muscle. Eg. a submarine.
@tszzl Novels are compressed lives. They better they are the more lossless the compression is. My father used to tell me, to read novels is to live parallel multiple lives. A novel takes you a week but gives you years worth of life. Living is rarely that interesting.
@paulg A common theme of advice, even self advice, is taking things to their limits. IIRC, you recommend aspiring to be the best, not just good.
Extreme advice makes it a more successful meme. “Some things are possible” or even “most things are possible” have zero chance of spreading.
@PaulSkallas Reminds of the analogue of Turks inventing the steam engine two centuries before the industrial revolution but only using it for spinning döner.
I deployed last night a tool that converts 99 file formats (all kinds of categories) 100% on the client side and without any data leaving the browser. With video and audio transcoding using the GPU when possible. Being local makes it blazing fast too.
489 test suites. 437 combinations. Check it out. It's all open source and MIT licensed.

@tszzl The model disagreeing annoys me a lot and feels like it should be illegal, but it doesn't hurt my faith in it. However, when it over-agrees I just almost instantly dissociate and lose all trust for the duration of the conversation.
We went to the zoo and my daughter couldn’t care less about the animals even though she absolutely loves her animal figurines and can could them all since 1.5yo. Took her to the hippo tank and she completely ignored this massive beast swimming 30 cm away from her multiple times because she was mesmerised with the carp that shares his tank.
When driving late to an appointment, special relativity becomes obvious. I keep thinking: I need 20 minutes at this speed, 10 at double, 1 at 20x. Zero at lightspeed, and negative time if I travel faster than that.
