@QiaochuYuan nope. they did have different tracks for smart and dumb kids usually; we'd be split into different classes. in the montessori school i attended up to 8th this was fine, the public charter i went to for hs had few "smart" kids, most of whom wouldn't have been able to pass ap calc

@eigenrobot but i think assimilation has been extremely successful on the home turf, and i'm heartened by the return to liberalism that seems to be happening with the final nail in the coffin having been hammered home on that day in november

i do think we'll win abroad eventually but through locals, and it will take time for columbia to grasp their souls
