Keen on photography and music. Involved in water management, focused on flood resilience and using blue & green infrastructure.
Thoughts and tweets are my own
@al_chisholm It's not rocket science, or red tape... just common sense. We're transitioning from flood defence, to flood risk management, to flood resilience. But we can't keep on undermining the present and future like this.
@BBCRadio4#youandyours on what it’s like to have your home #flooded & how you piece your life back together afterwards? we all know the prep & mop up after a flood despite #pfr measures, water finds a way, comes up through the toilet @floodmary talking

@al_chisholm@SteveReedMP@mtpennycook Well said, so much opportunity. These 'challenges' related to site context can be overcome with early and effective engagement with the right practitioners that have an open mind to do something better, but different!
I recently helped with the @planetP_ossible podcast . The wonderful @Niki_Roach_ and I discussed the state of the nation , future generations and what I would do if I ruled the world . . . for a day . Available here https://t.co/svwLZ73RQh
@RSBenwell@WorcsCCC@MottMacDonald@CIWEM Couldn't agree more... and doesn't need to slow down development and helps deliver other benefits and policy aspirations. Like make our cities spongey
Government’s statement on housing quotes @AngelaRayner as saying it’s “not just a professional responsibility but a moral obligation to see more homes built”.
It’s also a moral obligation to ensure those homes are environmentally sustainable. https://t.co/ajYkRWNHo8
Only worked with Jane for a short time. Her authenticity, energy and passion were a force to be reckoned with. She also knew a thing or two about marketing, engagement, IT and developing relationships.
@al_chisholm Agreed... reactive remediation, and retrofitting of solutions once the damage has been done, or infrastructure delivered is far more expensive and less effective. This may resolve a problem it's unlikely to deliver multiple benefits.
@timegan1995 @AlistairCarns Agreed... not contributing anything other than a few seats and pretty plants. Could be so much better designed for people and Nature.
