I'm 19 and my app just hit 10k users and $10k in all-time revenue.
We launched 1609sat 2 months ago and it's already at $5k MRR.
Most of our growth came from organic content, so here's what I've learned about making content that actually brings revenue
would you send 8 emails just to save one payment?
one customer’s payment failed, so i reached out right away.
he tried 13 more times.
14th try? finally went through.
8+ emails later, we got it done.
if i hadn’t texted him after that first fail, he probably wouldn’t have tried again.
sometimes retention is literally just giving a shit.
@kzzy47 signups aren't the bottleneck, we're at ~260/day (but it spikes tho, once we had a 1500 new users a day), so 100 per price point takes about a day. paid conversions are the slower part, so we'll judge the test by those. thanks for the tips!
My app got +7,827 users in the last 30 days and hit $5k MRR.
I'm 19. Most of it came from organic content: slideshows and short videos.
Stop overcomplicating it. Just copy what we did 👇
@kzzy47 makes sense, we'll give it a full billing cycle + 30 days then. testing on new signups only, existing users keep their current price. appreciate the advice!
@kzzy47 yeah agreed, we're planning to A/B test higher prices soon. have you run price tests before? curious how long you'd let one run before trusting the result
@kzzy47 no free trial actually, and it's a web app, not a mobile one. so all of the $5k MRR is people who paid upfront on the site, none of it is trials
6. Found a format that works? Spam it
Post as much as you can in that format, and keep testing a few new ones on the side to find the next format that blows up. That's how we got ~10k Instagram followers in just a month.
5. Count signups, not views
Some videos with way fewer views brought more signups than the viral ones. We track signups per video and make more of what converts.
