A Christian mum at St Mark’s CE Primary in Bromley received this letter: Year 5 children are being taken to an Islamic mosque -“permission not required”.

When she objected on Christian grounds (“this goes against my beliefs”), the school replied: “Thank you for keeping us informed.”

She is now deregistering her daughter. The mosque they’re visiting was once a church. Her daughter has never been taken to one.

No balance. No respect for parental rights. No defence of Christian ethos.

This is ideological capture of the CofE - prioritising Islam while sidelining Christianity and parents.

Our faith schools are being hollowed out.
