Mason Prokay (@octathletics) saves his best for last.
After a disappointing District 3 meet, the senior strings together the best javelin performance of his career, tattooing a PIAA 3A boys golden throw of 206-5.
Prokay is Octorara’s first state champ since 2005.
Mason Prokay (@octathletics) does it again…
He breaks the 200-foot barrier, measuring 202-8 for Henderson boys javelin gold.
The throw is a USA Top 25.
“Everything clicks, and you’re just trying to look for that feeling again.”
From landing the school record in his second meet to committing to Liberty, it’s been a rapid two-year javelin ascension for @octathletics Mason Prokay (@Prokay02).

@richflanagan33@PCLAthletics@wpial7 I under stand that reasoning. But those championship games are almost rivalry games. Two schools that have history. State title games are rarely that.
That’s a wrap from Philadelphia. Octorara simply has more answers in the second half. Despite trailing at the end of both Q1 and Q2, Octorara wins this one going away. Braves beat Frankford, 69-57 @JasonGuarente@LLHoopsNEPbeat@david_kehler
